Imma chime in, I haven't questioned this per se but I have questioned what sense does it make to pray to an all-knowing, God. But the answer I got was humility will you be humble enough to ask for whatever you need in your life?

Who doesn't need something? Even if you gain every material thing in the world you will need someone to protect it and maintain it for yourself and for generations. Pray that your guards and servants don't turn against you. Pray robbers don't take your things and if they do it's something that's replaceable. Etc
If it's a power who holds all the chips and is omnipotent then I'm never stopping the pursuit. Christ had to be mistreated and suffer so why not believers also?

I dunno about this. There are many many many biblical examples of God literally doing this. Everything from ham, to esau, to Cain, to generations of israelites in Iran, to generations of Israelites in Syria, to generations if Israelite in Egypt, to generations of israelites under Roman opression, to even the reason your cousins live in Cleveland or Atlanta instead of the garden of Eden. I'll stop here for now, but I think you get my point.
And this is before quoting verses like Dueteronomy 5:9 , where God himself tells you that he will punish countless innocents for the deeds of their grandfathers.
Why can't we just accept God exactly the way he is presented in the Bible, instead of picking and choosing his attributes ? I worry that we stray into idolatry by exalting the portions of God that are pleasing to the wishes of man.

Why would I be prideful and spiteful towards something greater than myself. That's silly. Even in eastern religions, you have to overcome the ego.
