I keep saying on here I know a lot of men who are the primary custodial parent here in Texas and that is because in 2012 they changed our divorce/child custody laws to be a lot more equitable between genders. We are a defined joint custody state and we are a non alimony state. There is a reason they call this the land of single dads.

What does that number look like for us and more importantly, what kind of circumstances are the children growing up under?

The mothers don't have the resources for better education (for the child) and scarcity mentality will definitely be bred into that child's mind.

Stats don't even make sense, 2/3rd of single mothers are white. 1/3rd is black. Where do Asians, Hispanics, Arabs and native American women fit into? So if your a single mother you're either black or white?

Asians have the lowest rate. No one really cares about Native Americans. And hispanics have a gang of single mothers with a gang of kids. Like Asians you rarely see Arab single mothers. The culture doesn't allow it.

I was telling my wife this theory not too long ago. These women don’t want to be married. They say it because it sounds like the right thing to say. All while doing the complete opposite to attain what they claim they want. Women say they want to be married, never wives. Open marriages, swinging, polyamory relationships are increasing and becoming less taboo.

Women don’t get as much child support as many claim. When I looked at child support stats I was shocked at just how little it can be for some. And actually GETTING it is a whole nother ball game. I don’t even wanna get into some single moms I know who just give up because their ex husbands skips states, jobs, anything to avoid paying. I mean these stats show over half of these women are divorcees. Not just chicks letting randoms hit.
So it ain’t just on them.

Regardless of all the brouhaha, I still think a healthy monogamous relationship between two equally yoked people is the way to go. Personally I think it yields the best results for men, women AND children. But that doesn’t mean a lot of the bullshyt in traditional practices shouldn’t be addressed just because some egos are gonna get bruised. Nah.

Go talk to those 7000 women surveyed, half of which said their husbands stressed them out more than their kids. THATS the stuff that plays into these dynamics.
