Bottom line? There are levels to this discussion. Deep deep levels. And it's so polarizing that noone ever wants to have that deep discussion.
Are you really this stupid? This conversation is over
Dudes in here was praising Stephan Jackson for keeping it real but forgot the fact dude got 5 baby mothers and it's not like he didn't know better after 1![]()
The best way to avoid putting yourself in a situation is to not have kids or date someone with a stable career. If the woman makes 15 an hour, and finds a man that makes 15 an hour, then their household income would be 60k a year.
I know there are hardworking black men in cities with a job as a janitor, bus driver, mechanic, UPS driver, construction worker, etc.
Some of them don’t want that. There was a viral video of 2 women saying they’d rather take a street dude who makes 25k over a banker who makes 500k working a 9-5. You’re destined to be a struggling single mother if you have a mentality like that.
You know what? You're probably the third or fourth person in here to say this, but it's incorrect.
People would loooooooove to discuss such...the rub is that once real chit comes up in such conversations,
Folks wanna get like this:
Also subtract the number of women who are divorcees. Because they may have had their babies in wedlock but are now single moms after getting divorced. That’s a much different picture than the “oh Dey just letting people buss in them” narrative.
40% are childless
Another percentage of blk women are married and have children in marriage.
And of the 4 million single moms, roughly half are divorcees.
That’s not most blk women bussin it open for randoms or chasing bad men narrative.
The worst elements in our race are pretty much the only ones having children male and female. The rest are bypassing it completely unless they are married.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I absolutely praised Stack Jack. He said something's that add nuance to the topic, but a lot of folks only listened to one phrase in it.
The gems some ignored:
- he actually has good relations with 2 of his BMs and their children, meaning that even in...let's say
"non-ideal" circumstances, it's still possible for "irregular" families to function. When this doesn't happen is
when the other parent purposely and actively does not want to cooperate with them...and it seems people act like these type of persons don't exist...
- the reason he kept being a serial Baby Daddy is because at one point he "thought it was cool".
(Ask yourself: where in the hell would get that idea from?)...it's virtually unprecedented to have a rich,
former NBA player on record saying that this ain't that cool.
Someone who has no idea what it costs or takes to have and raise a kid should not be telling parents what to do.
Fine. Your good. But black women all over social media were throwing up complaints and red flags. Women nowadays want the freedom to do whatever while still being protected.Y'all who?
I thought he should have gone about it differently, maybe let mom's go to the drs appt instead of him, but if moms is an untrustworthy thot her damn self (bc he chose to seed up an untrustworthy thot), i see why he went himself.![]()
I gotta disagree with you because by that logic you know them cacs gonna come at you with all types of deals and you know how fast nba money comes and goes and you blow it alll anyways when you has examples before you of athletes going broke. Shawn Kemp got 8 baby mommas and Travis Henry and a whole bunch of athletes got mad baby mommas. You know them women target you, you know them cacs target you, you knew this from the damn mid nineties and you still took part in it.
your logic is equivalent to that older sister that used to slut it out and found some lame to take care of her. We gotta stop giving people a pass because they old or they found Jesus.
I didn't disagree with that at all, in fact I said:From what I saw in y'all's exchange, it had less to do with that than the fact that you disagreed with the (true) statement that the ultimate responsibility on what happens with/to a womb lies with the mother.
"That" being men and woman having equal responsibility after the child is conceived. Of course they don't. The woman has more responsibility after the child is conceived, so one would logically think she should have more say in what happens with the child from that point on. Y'all want all the blame and responsibility to fall on the woman and all the decisions regarding the child to be made unilaterally by men. Talk me through that logicEqual responsibility in conceiving the child. Men don't carry the child to term or deliver it, and can disappear as soon as we hear the woman is pregnant. So no I don't agree with that.

Walk me through how you arrived at this conclusion.I didn't disagree with that at all, in fact I said:

It's far, far more complicated than that.Being raised by a singe mother is the greatest indicator of generational poverty in the world.
There was a time where everyone knew this and therefore having a child out of wedlock was shamed...
But the people who profit off of your dysfunction have convinced you that this is sexist or somehow wrong...
So the rate of single mothers keeps climbing and black wealth keeps decreasing...
How many impoverished people do you know own property? If you don't own your home, have investments in stocks and bonds, or even own your car - where is the net worth supposed to lie?I refuse to believe single black women only have a net worth of $5K. Sounds like some bullshyt.
White supremacy.![]()
Look at the wealth difference between black women with bachelors degrees and white women with and without degrees.
The problem isn't the female head-of-household, the problem is education, availability of high paying jobs, community resources, mass-incarceration, and access to property that holds value. The problem has existed for African-Americans since directly after chattel slavery.we been fukked. Action should've been taken decades ago, before we were even born or just kids
How do we look at this stat in 1991 and not sound the alarm?

Nothing said after "white supremacy is damn near dead" means anything.White supremacy is damn near dead. This shyt is over exsposure to poverty which set a culture that is destructive.
Black men associate black women with poverty because collectively we broke. So little black boys associate black women with poverty which is unsavory. Added to the fact that black women have a negative portrayal in the media in comparison to other women. Not many in shape, attractive, feminine potrayals of black women. Yet thats the norm for white women. Not to mention the black community is matriarchy. So black men havent estblished networks to control the wealth in the community. (Makes black people have to deprieve self worth from nothing of any material vaule.) So men arent passing down a legacy in any real way so there is no material reason to keep it black. Which means a black woman is only as valuable as any other woman(because they still MY kids), less so when accounting for media promotion. This leads to black womens inferiority complex to white women.
I dont even wanna do the analysis of why black women fukked up because its gonna take to long and yall not gonna listen.
