smh 3 pages and no 1 mentioned lil Kim ft 50 magic stick.. shyt would have hit the Astro plane had they done a video
the last lil kim song I rocked with...50 really could do no wrong in those days....wasn't it 50's pettiness the reason a video was never made?

I thought this would have been Big Lou's entrance into the game...

A lot of y'all are posting obvious wack shyt that shouldn't have charted anyway

I feel like this song should've been way bigger than it was.

This should've been WAY bigger. It is, without question, the best song I've ever heard from Game (I don't count Hate or Love It - that's 50's song as far as I'm concerned). Even had Snoop on the shyt and few know it exists :what:

I always wondered why a video was never done for this! This used to KILLLLL in the club.

DMX- Get it on the Floor. I’m still shocked that song didn’t chart

It didn't? :ohhh:

This should've been way bigger. I thought it was absolute fire back then and I still hear it occasionally. So even the young cats fukk with it :yeshrug:

Also, there's a song by Bleek from 2007 called "Breakfast" that no one seems to ever talk about. And I thought it was one of his dopest songs. Even addressed beef with Dipset while the tensions were high.

Memphis Bleek - Breakfast | Hip Hop Songs - DJBooth
Audio: Memphis Bleek, “Breakfast”

Wasn't expecting that to be a radio hit by any means but I thought I'd be at least able to find the shyt online. It's like the shyt never existed

I used to hear this all the time. It didn't chart? :what:

Dre - Kush

This was :trash: on arrival, breh. And Akon was super played out by this point.

Broken English /Broken Language should have blown up
but terrible video for the song.......one of the best songs I've ever heard

This was way too grimy for radio. and from what I understand, it was still a hit in NY anyway

DOE, Lil Jon and Timbaland - Rollin

This song is an absolute classic!

I discovered it randomly a few years after it came out and I was like :what: "This wasn't sent to radio?" But I guess DOE didn't have the right relationships :yeshrug:

I don't even like Fabolous and I agree

DC sound something different but for some reason people weren't receptive to it. Plus you had Gaga who was on the verge of blowing up. It's ashame too cause Gaga is like this mega star and Wale is just.. underrated. Question for the DMV HEADS- did this get a lot of radio play?

It took y'all years to figure out that Wale is garbage. As soon as this came out, I knew he was garbo on arrival.

How the fukk do you have THE BIGGEST artist in the world on your song and you can't pop off? By having zero musical talent.

in 97 both bone and mariah were in their primes, thought this was gonna be a smash but as it turns out:

Due to the song's limited release, "Breakdown" did not chart in most major music markets, with the exception of Australia and New Zealand, where it peaked at numbers 38 and four, respectively. In the US, due to Billboard rules at the time, the song was unable to chart on the Hot 100, but charted at number 53 on the Hot 100 Airplay Chart.

Everyone swung it like I didn't want to put something out because I wouldn't accept less than a No. 1 Pop Single. That's not even true. Like I didn't want to "break a streak." My streak was broken a long time ago. I don't even have a streak. I had five number ones, then I had records that didn't go to number one. Whatever I wanted to put out "Breakdown" with Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony. That was a no-brainer. Release it. I'll always be upset "Breakdown" never got its shot.
—Carey, on her disappointment in the singles chosen, during an interview with Vibe.[3]
