1. This is because women control the decision to birth the child or not. Her body, her choice.Yeah but we don't get an equal amount of blame, we get all the blame. We are always told we should've chose better, but for men it's "oh well, boys will be boys".
2. Men don't suffer the physical/mental repercussions from child birth.
3. If a man states that he's against the pregnancy and she still carries to term, it's on her after that.
I do agree that there's a double standard, but it's simple to see where that comes from. Women and men will never be on equal ground sexually as long as the possibility of pregnancy exists. Nonetheless, more dudes need to step up to the plate as fathers. And more women need to educate themselves on preventing pregnancies.
