I'm an educated guy, a lot going for me, and my lady is the greatest one I've ever met out here.

I'm still nervous about marriage.

But she doesn't nitpick or press me about it, she tells me how she feels about it but ultimately she understands.

She understands breh's.

That "no working" garbage is not okay though, get a job.

As a black man there's really only a few reason not to get married

A man making 45K who gets divorced from his wife and has 2 kids will be kicked out of the family house, forced to move into a crappy apartment and have hundreds of dollars taken from his paycheck every month from child support and/or alimony. After paying for rent, car payment, car insurance, utilities bills, gym membership fees,cell phone bill, etc... he wont have any extra money to travel, have fun or save up for retirement. On the other hand, a rich man who gets divorced may lose half his money but he will still have money to do fun shyt. Marriage and kids hurts the poor more than it does the rich.

Lets be reality for a second, most women follow hypergamy and marry up

it's absurd that as a a hard working man you can come home early from work to your wife banging the mail man, and because you made much more than she did you have to pay alimony, you have to pay child support as she gets the kids and you have to move out the matrimonial home.

I've worked in family law court have you? dudes making 25k a year having to pay 300 a month for child support for 2 kids you think that doesn't affect you if your making little?

I can speak as a married man that family requires you to completely shift your way of thinking to be as selfless as possible. If you don't you will see the effects in your family. If your wife doesn't put u and the baby a first and you don't put your wife and the baby first the defects will be seen immediately.

Family isn't taken seriously and it's a big deal. A lot of men in this forum are incredibly immature and are working to buy gadgets from the white man and sleep with random women and in the back of their head won't mind having an accident baby with a woman who has a fat ass. But to us they spit all that hot shyt about family for daps.

So personally I think men don't want marriage because it's symbolic of a man who's is prepared to graduate to another level of responsibility and maturity. most aren't ready and use smokescreen as excuses to express this fact

so you'd be ok if your wife draws up paper and tells you to leave, and a new man is now living in your old home, seeing yur kid more than you do, as you pay vaginamony and child support? Marriage means nothing about responsiblity and maturity, if it did the divorce rate wouldn't be so high.
