Such a shame because they’ve made so many classics that they’ve ruined in the last decade

The little preview looks like absolute shyt. Gameplay doesn’t even look next gen and just completely bare bones. You’d think with a game like Skate they’d create a whole world similar to My Park in 2K and I imagine they will attempt something similar but I’m not getting my hopes up

This may be the last skate game we get for the next decade or ever

I had the original back in high school. I got in a session of Skate with breh from round the way. Had him on SKAT and asked him how he wanted to take the L. He didn't say nothing so I turned the controller upside down on his ass and hit him with that Nollie 360 Hardflip .

Been a huge fan of this series since the OG Fluckit forums and when people were making YouTube montages from demo footage

It's all a matter of expectation. I knew a F2P skate game was NEVER gonna have the same vibe/aesthetic as this:



So the Fortnite ass art style is whatever to me. The fact is that as far as consoles are concerned, Session and Skater XL are ok but are practically indie games and THPS might as well be a different genre at this point. There's no legit skateboarding games out and this is the best we're getting for the foreseeable future

For what it's worth, they actually made solid improvements to the core gameplay to bring it more along the lines of the other skate sims. This 100% gonna be one of those games everybody bytches about up to release but still have hella players

My son is a big Skate3 fan.

Was just joking with him the other day about how long this is taking.

I remember watching the og announcement with him he was only 6 years old in first grade then.

He’s 14 now in highschool and this shyt still ain’t out yet.

I get it. Back then skate was the more “realistic” one but it really wasn’t a sim.

The over the top stuff, costumes, huge gaps, etc are a lot of what keeps the game popular today.

They had to lean into that stuff even more for the social media generation.

The people that want to have a serious skate session have a few options for that.

I think because thug stopped they just added that stuff into their game to cover both fanbases

Same situation with 2k/NBA live/Madden, they all ended up merging styles once the competition was gone
