who is this Eddie Griffin looking breh ?
No he didn't. A bunch of white guys from writing pools/production pools did.
Fancy always sounded like a TI track to me.
when did he stop being your favorite?I wish I had a time machine to bring the cube who was my favorite back.
I still remember every first day cop of all his solo's like it was yesterday.
I was telling my guy out here reminiscing on old ice cube about how much of a cube fan I was.

Somewhere in that transition to cypress and then he pulled the Westside connection and violated the culture.
Originally cube was the only culturally real gangsta rapper.
Before the wcc he used to be it culturally.
That, soon he left out the culture and got affected by the gangsta disease. Well after he got punched out and expose by cam too.
That, he just became what he fought against and used to pr and stood for.
Most of the popular rappers nikkaz like,....
I was probably their biggest fan before they culturally violated.
East west coast never even began because krs deaded all that shyt on the east west compilation with essays on bdpism.
Krs : You never utter positivity, only negativity
Krs : With bboys you don't affiliate.
Originally, essays was not featured on any krs albums or best of.
It was on the east vs west compilation tape and deaded all that dumbshyt.
So for cube to be on the shyt he was on and how long essays was out was bullshyt.
Especially considering cube went to the Mecca and was about the culture given his situation on ruthless.
For him to do what he did and then ruin the source is all time unacceptable, culturally.
Then for Pac to use the same pr east west coast fraud bullshyt out of pr sensationalism based on a lie also came because Pac looked up and leaned on any and every cube marketing as well.
So, Pac also feel into the same bullshyt cube did.

I have to say breh, I appreciated the first Westside Connect record, and thought their criticism of the East was justified. I'm a long time BCC and DITC fan, and those crews were not getting their just due from the journalist side of things. Always shorted on mics in the Sauce and Double Small magazines. The media back then rode Bad Boy's nuts in an attempt to assist them commercially to compete with the West while sh!ttin on boom bap, the dusty sound, turntablism, etc..
At the same time there was an obvious bias towards the West. It was blatant. The only reason Bow Down got 4.5 mics was the Sauce knew the jig was up and they were exposed. West Coast artists had every right to feel slighted during those years. The same way the South would feel only a handful of years later. Hell even before the South's apex, Outkast was already dealling with that typical nose in the air arrogance of NY.
