These are unused 90s beats from Pete right? They sound nothing like anything he's made in the 21st Century. They sound like that Baby Pa album.

Is Carry the Tradition an old beat? Cause that sounds like some fresh 2010+ heat. Would love to hear Slaughterhouse on some shyt like this.

"Superheroes that got their powers from where the ports be" - Skyzoo

Skyzoo's infatuation with 90's/80's crack era NY leads to wonderful writing from
a first person perspective and The Wire references weaved throughout the lines.

Layered, Complex yet simple when simplicity is needed. Seriously an underrated rapper.

Skyzoo to me is a dope mc with very few quotables

I know what you mean, I put someone like Rae in the same catalogue (I'll probably get flamed for that opinion). They spit a bunch of fly shyt, and technically always very dope, but have very few quotable that pop out or stick in my head on their own.

I did really like these lines though, especially the Polo one.

"My son uses the potty so heʼs older now,
Fred Hampton, Huey Newton Iʼma mold him now,
but still teddy bear sweaters, bet he Lo to the ground,
the hybrid of everything that comes with owning a crown"

I should like Skyzoo....... He checks all the boxes. I just don't. Nothing really intrigues me.

Not big into Skyzoo but gave this a quick spin a few days ago to see what the fuss is about & on the first listen the whole thing slaps! Gonna have to dive into it properly tonight though, Pete still got it.

That beat from the Illmatic era is prime time Pete Rock :wow::wow::wow:

part of the reason you may like those lines is cuz the beginning part is taken/flipped from Biggie on “Everyday Struggle” lol he tends to do that how Hov use to

ima spin this album a lil later today again when i pick up some bud and see if my mind changes

Still taking it in but my favorites so far are:

Glorious
It’s All Good
Truck Jewels
The Audacity of Dope
Richie

It’s All Good sounds like he recorded that around the same time as Rather Unique. Pete is in my top 5

Album is cool:ehh:Gotta let it marinate some more but I can't agree this is better than Easy Truth. It's definitely not but it's a dope project for sure.
