do you meditate ?

i want to try but im stressed at the moment my mind wont let me have peace, i sleep at 4am everyday :mjcry:
The easiest way to mediate

1. Find a quiet place
2. Sit in a chair
3. Close your eyes and begin breathing in your nose and out your mouth
4. Focus on your breathing
5. After a while your mind and body will become relaxed.
6. Your mind will go into a trance but still continue to focus on your breathing

Do that for 30 min a day to relax your mind. The more you do it the easier it is to get in that trance state and you can meditate longer

Have you tried reading a book while laying in bed? That will put you to sleep in at least 15 or 20 minutes.

nah only outta my crib into space looking up at the moon and stars, scary as shyt but sooo god damn freeeing.

You know what I just thought of when I saw this? How people who claim to have astrally projected always say how free they feel - weightless with nothing to worry about.

And then when they plop back into their physical body their reminded of the harsh reality that we live in and the many pains and restrictions that exist in the physical body.

ask me why i'm soo stoic in my daily life? ask me why i think this plane of existence is hell? ask me why this world is soooo not fun.

I've been studying existentialism and philosophical nihilism for nearly eight years. I'd love to hear your opinion on existence and why you're stoic :ohhh:
j/k...

i dunno what to say about existence. my experiences have taught me there's lots we don't know.

example 1

You ever heard of the "speed of life" it's the idea that life is really a lot slower than we experience is- that is to say when we are our most alive our brains process must faster and thus we see, feel, hear in greater definition to the point that things are perceived to be happening a lot slower.

truly, i wish i had definitive answers on our existence.

experiences full consciousness, yet seeing my past thoughts and experiences in high definition right before my eyes makes me wonder about truly how incredible the human mind is and how underutilized it is.

I feel like if we had complete mastery of our strongest organ (brain) we would have greater insights into our spirituality and where it comes from.

Maybe before all this technology we were more in tune with our various abilities to perceive, experience, interpret existence in it's truest form...

Maybe god/the spiritual realm/ are just in different dimensions (or maybe even distances) we've since lost the ability to consciously interact with...

The egyptian had gliders, they were flying 1000s of years ago. The pyramids had crystals atop of them with a clear channel down to the depths of the pyramid which had another crystal to reflect light back up and down again (a fukking laser). there's plenty hidden from us on how advanced we truly were 1000s of years ago.

The Doogon people saw into distant galaxies beyond our solar system without any known telescopes for that period. Who is to say we descendants of those people aren't born with an ability to see beyond our current perceived limitations?

Perhaps they were astral projecting?

who knows....i know i'm all over the place but forgive me. Point is I know there's a greater power I don't think it's some guy in the sky worried about our trivial pursuits though.

as for my stoic nature...

It helps me be more present in life.

let me explain.

I find that when i walk around people feeling things (happiness, sadness, etc) I am less present. I am more self-involved when feeling. When i'm stoic i can better observe my surroundings.

I see more, experience more of life as it's happening around me. You become somewhat of a "watcher" if you get my meaning.

You quickly come to the realization that this experience is trivial without deeper connections than the ones we typically make in our societies. and even with our deepest connections they too are self-serving more often than not. this leads me to believe life IS and nothing more until we allow it to become what it once was stripped of the superficiality, we might once again fly, and talk to God, visit with the departed, end our journeys on this plane with a smile knowing our spiritual being goes on until our maker calls for it to cease existing as it is only to be transmuted into another form of energy.

Had a bout of this shyt yesterday. I was sleeping on my side facing the wall. My eyes open and somehow i'm being turned to lay on my back and my damn arms are involuntary being folded across my chest

I tense my arms to try and bring them out of the folded position. All of a sudden I get this loud ass ringing mixed with a type of broadcast system sound going on in both of my ears.

I see this black and white tv screen image go up and down my body like its being scanned. shyt had a face to it, scared the fukk out of me. Called on the name of the most high and that shyt went away. This was in the dark. shyt, I slept on high alert with the tv on for the rest of the night.

I hate the fact that this is labeled as "stoicism" when really it's just becoming adapted to the realities of existence. To merely view the world in a perspective that opposes the "hyper-social" outlook where we must dedicate our entire lives chasing after fleeting pleasures means that people will assume that you're "sad" but I think it's the mind's rational response to try to remain strong in the callous world we reside in and to no longer chase after things that aren't important. As people realize the state of our existence they seem to naturally become a bit more reclusive or even "cold" but it's likely a coping mechanism for the mind.
