Rap is one the genre where rappers depreciate rapidly with age because it's such a young man's game. It's jarring to have this one image in your head of Slick Rick The Ruler looking fly as fukk on top of his game, how the world remembers him and then seeing him old and grey, still rapping. It's sad to look at.

What rock groups are going on tour selling out major arenas nightly?
I see people say this all the time on here like every old rock group is revered and doing huge tours, but that's not factual. Outside of U2, Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and maybe one or two more bands most old rock groups aren't doing that. The reality is most old bands are in the same position as old rappers. Van Halen was one of the biggest bands of the 80s and their on tour playing the same level venues as Slick Rick right now. Hell Tears For Fears are doing shows in casinos and resorts, and they were much bigger mainstream wise in the 80s than any rapper.
