This is good but as others said the bulk of songs are short like 2 mins
But I like what I heard as far as Rick’s rapping and the production is fine just old school
2 house beats don’t bother it’s a UK ting
And the Nas verse is good
Overall not bad but he should have let some of these song breath and extend

For sure. Sonics are definitely rooted in pre-2000 style but I don’t need Rick rapping over trap beats or drumless piano loops from 60s French lounge acts. Still got the effortless flow and visual lyrics. Want to see how it work in video format.

He’s spitting effortlessly as always on here though

The beats are rooted in 80’s/90’s hip hop and dance
Some beats remind me of The Ruler’s Back beats
No doubt. Beats reminded me of the better aspects of Ruler's Back and Behind Bars. A Rick album with contemporary production in 2004 or 2011 would have been cool but at this point it was better to take the throwback approach. Just wish it was a little longer.
