The creativity, the movie to accompany this album, almost feels a tad underrated

I was disappointed by this album at first but I find myself spinning it end to end, often

It's a quick and cohesive listen. It tells a light story of his career and it has varied sounds

I wish the tracks were a bit more fleshed out but this will definitely wind up in my Top 10 this year

I wish Badman Generation ended up on the album, but other than that, I still really enjoy it.

I was listening back Victory again yesterday and I’m glad he didn’t switch up and try to rap over these new beats all the younger heads be rapping over

He stayed true to himself

This was more like an appetizer than a full entree

Im happy he dropped a new album but the album leaves me feel like this was just a album sampler before the real album


Style wise, Rick stayed true to himself but the songs needed to be longer and not just snippets

Yup, I do

That’s exactly what it felt like, just about the time your invested in the song, it shifts to the next.

That’s my gripe with the album, the songs are just too short. He gave us snippets of songs

I just wish songs like Spirit To Cry, Angelic, So You’re Having My Baby, We’re Not Losing, Come On Let’s Go and Cuz I’m Here For It all were longer though

But at the end of the day, it’s still a celebration. Slick Rick finally released a brand new album at 60 and didn’t sound dated at all.
