Ready To Die is better than Life After Death imo. I’d definitely take both over It Was Written.

Big became a better rapper after RTD like Victory is supposedly the last song he recorded and it's fire man had so many flows on LAD and such memorable lines

LAD is like the Bad Boys 2 of albums the first one was great but the second one is on such a level we begging for a third but we won't ever get it

IWW

I like LAD but I never really loved it like a lot of people do. There's a lot of weak sauce on there mixed with some phenomenal songs :yeshrug:

IWW is just amazing throughout, plus it introduced me to Nas.

Name the weak ones breh I never heard the album

This is a tough one

IWW is my one of my favorite Nas albums only semi weak song on IWW is “Nas is Coming” and that wasn’t because of Nas lyrics, it was the terrible chorus:francis:

LAD might be the GOAT double album and had a great mix of crossover tracks along with its fair share of street tracks.

At the end I went with IWW, like someone said before better full listen:yeshrug:

It Was Written set the stage for LAD though. So whatever negative impact LAD had on Hip Hop could be attributed to IWW as well. It was mafiosos content over glossy, polished production, which included Pop samples and interpolations from the '80's. I mean, "Street Dreams" is the predecessor for a song like "Hypnotize".

As great as IWW is, it too opened up the door for the jiggy era so much so that Will Smith had The Trackmasters and L.E.S. produce and Nas write for him.
