I just scanned through the faceoff. It didn't really get me excited as a guy that is on the fence. Until everyone actually shows up, these faceoffs are never gonna reach their potential.
I just have absolutely no interest in this card. The URL is gonna have to earn this money.
Agreed. I know we’ve been on the fence with past cards and ended up buying the sh1t, but this one I am finally passing on.
The match ups just do nothing for me. None of them are bad per se but only a couple if any are actually good. I’m kinda interested in Surf’s return sure but against Nitty? I guess?
Zero interest in watching that fat fukk DNA ever battle again, and the fact they wasted a JC booking on his sloppy ass is depressing. One can only hope JC completely decimates him.
I like watching Clips battles live for the potential train wreck factor but again, this match up was just throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks. Brizz and Clips are a style clash more than anything. Smart money says this battle will suck.
Speaking of style clashes, Tay Roc vs Goodz is as style clashy as it gets. I’ll pass.
I like watching Twork battle but Suge has never been that nice or entertaining to me. Would I pay $10 to watch that battle? Sure. $50? No.
Ill Will vs T-Top is probably the best match on this card. But low key T-Top annoys the sh1t out of me some reason. I find his voice and persona irritating. Which isn’t to say he’s a bad battle rapper, he’s quite good. I just don’t fukk with him like that. Will on the other hand I think is extra dope. So again, I’d be a few bucks to watch this battle live but certainly not $50.
$50 in general is a crazy price. That’s damn near the cost of a UFC pay per view where guys actually fight and risk injury. URL needs to bring the sh1t back down to $30-$40 or I’ll be passing on more cards out of principle
And also, given the general stream issues, late starts, delays, time limit drama etc etc I cant in good faith keep justifying $50 on the cards.
I have plans for tonight anyway, with my luck the battles won’t start until 530 EST and I’d be leaving the house not too sooner after. Last big event it took like 3 hours from “start time” to finish 2 battles. That ain’t the wave.
If I tripped and fell on a free stream today I would watch it. Otherwise I’ll wait until the YouTube releases and not lose any sleep. I love supporting the culture, I love the idea of live battle rap pay per views; but time and time again we’ve seen it’s a great idea damn near ruined by poor execution.
