U missed the best Summer Madness since 2. No cap. EVERY battle was fire besides maybe Holmzie/Bill but even that battle had it's highlights.

T Top/B Dot is BOTY candidate.
Chess/Shine lived up to the hype. No Chokes but he did have a almost choke in his second i believe. But Chess writing is really next level. And with all that said Shine 2-1.
Cal/Verb was better then it should of been.
Geechi/Clips was a great battle for all the wrong reasons but Clips at the very least showed why he's still getting booked.
Reed surprised the world and (to most people) beat a very good Nitty. If anyone's bag is going up after this it's Reed. He reminded the battle rap culture who he is.
Ill Will/JJDD was again better then it should of been. One of the best JJDD's i've seen and i had Ill will winning.

It was a very good event.

-Reed shocked the world and 3-0 or 2-1 clear against Nitty. Reed has absolutely shown his ability to adapt plus he has that old G boost (where people start to give them extra respect because of their age/longevity) like Swave, Moon and Gage has But Reed absolutely wanted to win this and did. I knew this was a possibility when Rum said on HHIR that he didn’t prepare for Reed yet and that was 5 days before the battle.

-Chess showed he’s one of the best writers of his generation and why the URL have spent years protecting him (the talent is undeniable) but I had Shine 2-1. Shine style is so hard to beat and Pat stay has absolutely no chance when they battle.

-Ill will vs JJDD was a very good back and forth with JJDD raising the bar high but Ill will raising the bar higher each time. Ill energy when he raps really adds to his pen.

-Charlie Clips vs Geechi was absolutely hilarious and fun to watch. Clipse material was overall better (especially in the first) but him choking and freestyle that third shows why he’s a legend, even though we all knew it was B.S (Even Geechi had to laugh). I had clipse 2-1 (Ist and third)

Aye Verb vs Calicoe was very generic but Calicoe just had the more notable bars “I didn’t know sandwich bags were made for sandwiches until I was 12”-Calicoe. I felt Aye verb had more energy for Gotti than Calicoe. Overall Calicoe won that.

Fam, how are y’all giving Clips the 3rd round when he choked for more than a minute? If this was anybody else (like “take it from the top” Surf) , that’s an automatic L for the round. Where’s the consistency? I was rooting for Clips too, but you can’t choke for that long and still win the round when your opponent is clean thru his.

He pinpointed why Cal vs Verb was such a weird battle. With as much history as the two of them have and the recent conflicts, I expected it to get a lot more personal. Both of them just rapped...which I enjoyed because I’m a fan of both. Just wasn’t the dogfight I was expecting. I was expecting something on the scale of Verb/Hitman or Cal/Lux.
