WWE officials are looking to get SmackDown on par with RAW in hopes of getting a good deal from SyFy next month when the current TV contract expires. One WWE source says they wouldn't be surprised if SmackDown ends up going to three hours.

:wtf: :dahell: :wtf: :dahell: RAW is hard to sit through for 3 hours sometimes and they expect people of watch SmackDown for three hours on a Friday night =:

I won't be, as I barely watch it now, but it makes sense for Syfy. Even if the last hour only does a 1.3 or 1.4(just throwing out numbers), it would still be better than what they could do with another show or some movie in the same time slot.

The funny thing is I would actually prefer a 3 hour Smackdown than a 3 hour Raw. Smackdown has the wrestling piff. If you havent peeped the last couple of weeks you're really missing out.

This is only a good idea if they either bring back the brand split or move Smackdown to Tuesdays/shoot live on Fridays. The only incentive to watch the three-hour Raws at this point is the fact that we don't know what's going to happen. Who's gonna sit through three hours of Smackdown when the spoilers have already been up for four days?
