I remember playing this from jr.high all the way through college.

When I got to college that shyt was on a whole other level


Alot of the better players I played were black too.

I don't consider SSBM to be competition to SF and KoF and shyt, but I definitely give it it's props for being as competitive as it is, when it absolutely was never supposed to be.

The game doesn't have crazy amount of depth and it's still fire to watch and play. Zoning, corner control, footsies, poking, etc. you would find in SF games, is all thrown out the window in this in exchange for wavedashing to link combos/throws, teching, shorthopping, edgeguarding, etc. Game is fun as shyt, especially at the competitive level. It's no SF, but I prefer it over Tekken anyday.

And yall also gotta realize, Melee is a 14 year old game. Nintendo made Brawl very floaty and slow to try to get rid of the competitive gaming aspect Melee established. Kinda worked, but kinda didn't.

Smash is kinda hype to watch and is fun but honestly im not hype for that new smash at all

Most of you have no idea how technical and how hype this game can get... and the fact that people are still over this game and still pulling off combos and matches 14 years later...

In the beginning, they just warming up.

I've seen enough tourney videos, to kno that you have to avoid damage against people this good. Dashing back and forth, jumping in and out is strategy. Waiting for your opponent to make a mistake or set him up for an attack.

Imo, smash is great. Hours of fun with the homies when we were kids.
