Players need to opt out and deman independent artibraition for discipline.
Player representatives from each team need to have voting share on rule changes, equipment changes, and etc.
Reclassification of drug listing, take marijuana off prohibited substance list entirely.
Allow players in drug treatment program to be around team facilities and team in meetings and etc.

Agreed. But you forgot that we need to get Delonte West a goddamn therapist.
I wouldn't even be opposed to some post-league pension. 401k that shyt because a lot of these guys go broke and it's sad as fukk. Meanwhile their "owners" remain fat and happy. Players are making millions, it should be preventable.
And you can't expect them to be the most financially responsible dudes because you're taking them right out of highschool or making them quit 2 years ahead of graduating college, where the 2 years they did spend the majority of the time was spent playing basketball instead of learning.
It's even worse with the NFL

If the NBAPA wants to work with a bank or investment house to create a 401k or pension fund fine, but it should be voluntary for the players how much they want to put in it.
As for going broke, I disagree with you entirely. They go broke because of their own decisions, and I'm not going to try to infantilize grown men on some they need protection from themselves tip.
As for the NFL they deserve everyth fukked up thing that happens to them, its their own fault that so many only care about the next check instead of the big picture fukk them.
