Smoke DZA & Pete Rock - Don't Smoke Rock (Discussion Thread)

Listened to it once and immediately purchased it. Pete Rock and Dza really brought the feeling back with this album. As well as strong performances by Royce, Rick Ross, Wale, and of course Jada and Styles. Might be contender for album of year.

Tried to get into it but Smoke DZA is one of the most boring rappers ever to exist. I imagine his concert being unbearable

It's a little better with repeated listens. I like hold the drums a lot and a few others but 75% of it is really pedestrian production for a giant like Pete. Staccato drums are a pet peeve of mine.
