Sega released the Saturn America way before schedule because they shat themselves over PS1. Sega Saturn was kicking PS1's ass in Japan and released it's last game in 2000.

I see what your saying here but microsoft missed that boat a long time ago trying to compete with steam is almost like blackberry market place trying to compete with the app store or google market place all over again. Now if microsoft incorporated steam with it's xbox products it would be game over.
