This is exactly the reason I'm not participating in black history month. I've seen too many memes and other forms of mockery. I'll celebrate with my daughter on our own.

"Celebrating" in the first place is counterproductive. Everyday should be "black" superiority day. Build self worth and understanding daily so nothing comes as a surprise and awareness doesn't seem like a chore. Hopefully she carries it on into adulthood. Anything further, I'll gladly help.
