Snoop gave us the energy we needed to continue the collective consciousness on this particular topic.
This is political strategy. Disseminating information that progresses the ideology.
think of Snoop like a soldier that jumped on a grenade to save the rest of the platoon. He served his purpose, and with great cause. But the nikka is no longer needed.

So for example after this incident Gayle and CBS and the mainstream media will have to think twice and triple before trying to make an example of extremely famous black folks.
Kobe will be able to rest in peace for the next year cause ain't no one and I mean no one in the media gonna dare try some shyt like what gayle did. Or they ass is grass too.
Next gayle (and oprah by extension) image were damaged far and I mean far more than Snoop after this. From a PR standpoint Folks who didn't like Snoop still don't like him. Folks who liked snoop still like him. Can't say the same for Gayle and Oprah. Hell this the MJ and russell shyt has probably messed up their PR so bad they probably won't even be asked for an endorsement by the democrats cause that is gonna scare some of the young folks away.
This is similar to when ESPN tried to hide Big Bens second rape allegation after hiding his first allegation. ESPN got called out so bad by regular folks and some in the media. That they had to cover white athlete transgressions. Even if they quickly scrolled it at the bottom of the screen or put it at the bottom of their top stories on their webpage.

And yet Big Ben's story was not made a big deal of and he still walking around unscathed in the vast majority of the public eyes. I agree with the rest of your post though
One more thing let me tell you a story. When I was in 5th grade there was a big kid in my class. He would bully me and all the smaller kids in school. I told my dad and he stated that when dealing with a bully you have to punch him right in the face to make him know to not mess with you. You might get your ass kicked but the bully will think twice about messing with you again.
So a few weeks pass and I am on the playground with the bully. He harasses me and some other kids. I stand up to him and he swings at me. I duck and hit him dead in his nose and then hit him in the eye. After that he jumps on me and we fall down tussling on the ground. The teachers break it up and send us to the principles office. The teacher makes me apologize and I am suspended for a day.
I show up 2 days later I see the bully has a black eye and a busted nose. Looking back on the situation some kids felt I lost that fight and the bully got the best of me. But one thing is for sure for the rest of my elementary school years that bull never messed with me again. And even though dude stayed a bully after me clocking him, he was very selective on who he harrassed after that incident.
So what we just witnessed this last 7 days is just what I mentioned above. The bully got popped. Yes some folks like snoop had to apologize just like I did in 5th grade. But the bully gayle/oprah and the media got a busted nose and a black eye and will have to assess the situation just like the bully I popped in 5th grade.
