Snoop might be the only rapper who has two, hit, party songs that have transcended 3 generations

Timbaland/Missy Elliot
Jay-Z
Nelly
Eminem
Outkast
50 Cent
DMX

name em. it ain't many. I'm talking where the parents and their kids can both listen and know the song.
See, I was going off the thread title. If we’re specifically talking “party” songs that people can perform at karaoke, then it may not apply. Like I’m sure everyone knows “Keep Ya Head Up,” but it’s not a “party” song.

What defines a “party” song though? I’ve heard “Tha Crossroads” played at parties.

when it comes to rapping the verses DMX has everyone beat... not only do people at his shows rap along to the hits but they rap along to the B side songs as well

Y'all are missing the point

How many AVERAGE people are singing along to the WHOLE song

I guarantee if you put on 'Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang' or 'Gin & Juice' at a random festival, its MORE LIKELY that the average cac mother over 40 will know all the lyrics more than almost any other rap song

Karen with 3 kids who works in HR is not barking and rapping DMX's lyrics about fukking with the Ruff Ryders

People really need to read the title of the thread and the first post.

Snoop is a true icon. Been relevant for fukkin decades and always had hits.
Just remembered that he was also on that wiggle song in 2014

"Young, Wild & Free" was huge too. I think it even went platinum. The David Guetta remix of "Sweat" was a hit too. I know older people who like that song.

Thank you . :snoop:

It’d be a completely different story if the criterion was just black people, or narrowed down to one demographic element.

Juvenile is knocking on the door of that rare territory that Snoop occupies (pretty much by himself) ... I also think Nelly is knocking on the door.

Above the fray.
G Thang and Gin n Juice can be played at a party of soccer moms and they’ll rap that shyt word for word...

Keep in mind, you can go to Snoop show and it’d be young teens, their parents and their grandparents rapping both of those songs word for word... :wow:

I don’t think any other rapper can make that kinda claim with TWO songs that span that manny generations .
Naughty by Nature has ANTHEMS that they can tour the globe and perform as long as they are alive
@3:50 they rock Giants Stadium after the last Superbowl win, over 20 years after their debut

white , suburban traditional aged grandmas don’t know naughty like that :mjlol:
Smilies don't change what I'm saying though.
Naughty's songs have gotten airplay at spots from major sporting events to weddings for 30 years now.

They were one of the first acts to have huge mainstream singles and not be one hit wonders or crossover acts.
