A lot of the ones mentioned, yeah. Bedstuy always had the most names the public is familiar with, even though East NY, Flatbush and Brownsville was just as ruthless back then (even more now, Bedstuy is cleaned up a lot. Flatbush has too but it still gets crazy both places).

There are plenty of big boy dope dealers and money getters on the street, sometimes they get leaned on by gangsters and fold...those guys are not gangsters, they're hustlers. If you're operating as a gangster then all you really deal with, outside of muscling the weak, is other gangsters. You can respect how deep they are, you can respect how tough they are, etc... but if they try to press you and you dont reciprocate the energy being given then you can't survive on the street anymore, it's over, you're p*ssy
