Last days was flames to me. Either CS was THAT good or ya nikkas didn't understand the lines soul was saying. But to each his own I guess.

I like Ab Soul, and was rooting for him but his last project just didnt make me bite. To this day I still havent heard it yet, and probably wont ever.. its just not on my radar. Part of his problem is his identity IMO. Is he conscious or is he a druggy with hoes? Not saying he has to be one or the other as we're all complex individuals. Still when it comes to albums there has to be some coherence, and after listening to his projects one feels mixed up. The promotion for his last project, or lack of promotion sent mixed signals like a chick who cant make up her mind. So I passed, and mixed reviews didnt help. Ab needs to be a hippie or otherwise.

What you said about being salty for being signed to TDE makes sense though. Jay Rock dropped a solid project that came and went and TDE should be ashamed of themselves. To be fair, Schoolboy has had some pretty damn good shine for the past couple of years.Still if I was Rock or Soul-O, I'd be be feeling some kind of way.
A large reason people got back interested in him is Kendrck blowing up. He shouldn't have a peep to say

I will say it doesn't make sense for him to expect Kendrick type shine. Kendrick and Q are on Interscope, they got the machine behind them. The rest of TDE is just on TDE distribution so they have smaller budgets.

But still like I said, if you release an album that's your window. Jay Rock didn't have a window, they fukked it up. And now who knows when Rashad and Q dropping albums. Rashad should have been out late last year, then they could have dropped Q in Feb or March 2016...

I don't know how him dropping mediocre music has anything to do with Kendrick.
It's ridiculous that people are sticking up from him when his music isn't good. You expect his label to waste time and money?

these days had 3 maybe 5 songs max i fukked with. he got an album with jmsn he turned in 2 years ago. that shyt prolly wont ever drop.
If I remember correctly, the project with JMSN was shelved because JMSN's label and TDE couldn't come to an agreement on the business side of things.

On another note, I thought These Days was great. Not on the level of Control System but still a great album. I'm looking forward to whatever comes next. I know he has like 3 albums ready to go so its just a matter of time before one of them drops. I can understand his frustrations with TDE but it is what it is. As long as the music is good, I'll support.
