who you talkin about.. Keith Murray, or Bronson..?

with the exception of a few festivals/events Vice hooks him up with(where, they get a nice chuck of that anyways)- they both do primarily smaller venues..

neither ones doing 100 shows per year, if that's your question..

I was referring to Murray but would have also liked to know what the deal is with both which you answered.

But the thing is how many shows a year and in what places can do a show. This was in no wheresville NC

The thing you're forgetting is that when you're indie, all those things the labels usually give you in a budget come out of your own pocket.

You wanna stay high on the regular? Out of your pocket. Drinking on all that Henny? Out of your pocket. You eating Benihana's on the regular? Out of your pocket. You wanna get brand new clothes for your shows? Out of your pocket. Oh you wanna lease (these cats ain't buying) that 2013 BMW M6 Convert? Out of your pocket.

And if you're getting fronted cash, anything an investor pays for you while indie, you're paying that back.

So all in all, these indie dudes are barely clearing $30-50k a year. They're just having a good time more often than not. The biggest myth in the music industry is that an indie artist gets all his money per show because he's indie. The second biggest is that he doesn't have to worry about his own expenses.

i got video of him doing the same at rock the bells last year........

as far as this thread, there's two sides to a story....

the nikka who made this thread just sounds like a selfish person with misdirected frustrution and no buisness saavy. u saying he shouldda performed anyway for the fans....and let the promoter scam him? why? This is a buisness, the promoter clearly didnt handle his buisness properly so thats who u should be mad at..........not the nikka who refused to be scammed.

As far as the other nikka who jumped in the argument cosigning........u got some questions to answer first homey......im sure ur story isnt as cut and dry as ud like everyone to believe

:mindblown:

money, is money.. maybe Bronson should've specified he wanted cash, like he did baby wipes..

not to mention, a lot of promoters get paid out at the end of the night by the venue.. he could've done the show, and got paid out when he was done.. if he passing out joints with hash, two liters of henny and tipping bartenders- that lil 5 stacks shouldn't be nothing.. do your show for the people who came to see you.. he wasn't completely ripped off.. he was being a fukkin baby.. he's known to be like that.. my homie Dante used to manage him for years..

I gotta say, I'm glad I decided to skip the show. i was going to go but couldn't.

I can vouch for the venue and it's promoter. I've been to a ton of shows there since 2004 and participated in a couple. They do good business and run a good ship. They always did everything the artists asked for in the contract and went out of their way to make sure everything was okay and that the performers were happy.

I hate to hear this happened, but I'm glad I wasn't there, and all I know is that The Soapbox is a good place to see shows. I just saw Mobb Deep there 2 weeks ago.

u stupid....

this the problem.........nikkas like u willing to take shorts.

First off the story this story is not coming from a first hand source, its coming from a disgruntled fan who is repeating what the promoter probably said to the crowd to save face.

Secondly, i dont give a shyt if he is giving out all that stuff......if the man requests a certain amount and you agree to it, either pay him or end up like this dumb promoter (giving refunds and coppin pleas). If you think that Bronson should have took a check in a situation like this ur an idiot.

nikka mind as well had balled that check up and dribbled it when he got it

learn to read, not my words dummy, someone elses experience. and if you read you'd see he was ALREADY paid 1500$ before he got to the venue...you think he gave that back?...and dues tried to give him the other 500 when he got there...you don't want a check don't agree to it beforehand...YOU GTFOH

I thought the douchebag thing was part of his shtick?
I actually dig his shtick more than his music at times. He's a character, the game needs more characters (provided they have rapping talent).

Get off the p-p kid.
