Lil break down on what the show was like?
Haven't been interested in the BET awards for over a decade...what's it like now?
95% the performances were female. On both sides.
Besides will smith who did some strange gospel song.
They had some new female categories 2.
They did a tribute to Usher for receiving a legacy award and it was all renditions of usher songs performed by women.
There was even this new fashion designer spotlight thing that was wild mango 2.
I think Killer Mike might have been the only breh to recieve an award.
Breh it got so crazy at one point someone(a breh) was up there and started talking about SHOUTOUT ALL THE BREHS IN THEIR SONS LIFE. WE DO EXIST. WE NOT ALL AINT shyt and all that.

There are male r&b acts they could’ve given some shine to, they may not have hits rn but BET could’ve given them a platform. On the rap side, I don’t even know the names of any males that are poppin, last class I’m familiar with is the Durk/lil baby/gunna/youngboy class

If the producers understand Black demographics and voting power enough to pander and push Democratic talking points over 80% of the program...
They obviously know that simulataneously and deliberately putting 85% ratchet hoe shyt contradicts any form of self respect.
It's a disingenuous smear campaign.

When Usher went off script and spoke empowerment into Black men... they cut every contextual element out...not just the specific explicit words.
