So After this Broncos Game, I saw an AVERGAE QB in Luck, and then I did some Digging....

Are you prepared to say the same things about Andy Dalton?

One of only 3 players to ever throw for 20+ TD's in first two years (Manning, Marino)

Took his team to playoffs in first two years

24-15 record since entering the league

Beat the Packers, Patriots and Lions this year

Game winning drives two straight weeks

Are you prepared to put on for Andrew Dalton?

If you cant see the differnce in ability between Luck and Dalton then just stop watching the sport of football please

I've forgotten more about football than you'll ever know.

I was clearly talking to the man that said "numbers don't lie"

I was asking him if the numbers were indeed lying in the case of Andrew Dalton.

Luck's floor is Matt Ryan. I think, and I think most of America believes, Luck's ceiling is in fact A-Rodg, Brady, Brees, Peyton.

I'd say that's a pretty comfortable place to be :manny:

Sure, he's got a great team around him ... and so does Peyton Manning and damn near the rest of the Hall of Fame quarterbacks that won Super Bowls. But the story won't be over until Luck's career is done or he wins a Super Bowl.
Been saying that for years. What Luck does that Matt can't is he's mobile and in the pocket he is not a statue. They have damn near the same arm strength and while Ryan can throw it further, Luck has more velocity. Ryan is more accurate than Luck tho.

Dalton gets a lot of hate here, but he's a more limited player than Luck. Dalton is in his 3rd year. I'm sure Luck will be beasting in year 3.

I can't credit QBs for team records. This isn't baseball.

The fact of the matter is Luck was heralded as an all world NFL prospect long before RGIII, Wilson, or Kaepernick came on the scene.

Those guys got kudos only with superior production on the field.

Luck got kudos for being something he's not - and that's this stratospherically superior QB prospect we've been hearing about for five years now. He's an effective game mananger who plays with moxie and displays good leadership abilities.

But just cause he's that doesn't mean he's validated the hype that was bestowed upon him for half a decade now. He's got a ways to go before his production matches his hype machine.

Trust me....I completely understand that. I just want Splatter to either say Dalton is that good, or take back his statement about numbers not lying.

I would compare to LeBron hype coming out of high school. If LeBron had turned into a Carmelo-type player, that's how Luck is playing now. A good player but one who will never be the best player in the league.

NYC (but PGH will forever be home)
Fella's, Lets be real-

Luck is solid QB and more importantly, he has that clutch and poise that you want from a QB :manny:

But you have to be a fukkin homer if you dont think he's getting all types of media hype. Even the way the announcers spoke of him yesterday, you woulda thought dude was playing lights out:yeshrug:

Brady and Manning are retiring soon- and the NFL could have loss a significant amount of fans :mjpls: if there was not a white wonderboy QB to remain the face of the league

So Luck is now average? Yeah if you're strictly looking at numbers playing Fantasy Football.

But the eye test says otherwise. Dude is gonna be the king once Brady/Manning are gone.
