You don't understand the product youre hating on :heh: You can get, but you don't need a hard copy because once you put it in your system it saves onto the HDD and then you don't need the disc anymore. And you got your info confused about this game

Now if you have a problem with Killer Instinct, just say so. Its not my cup of tea personally :manny:

I'm not "hating on" anything. :what: You're in your late 30's Court, Jesus. I said in my first post that I was a huge fan of KI back in the day.

If all XboxOne games are gonna be download like that, its more understandable. I have issue with that too, but that's a different discussion. I still dont like the character packs. People in the fighting game community don't like things that fracture the scene.

Court? :usure:

I don't understand how DLC for fighters is fracturing a scene? You think there wouldn't be a filter option if you didn't want to play against people on the demo?
What you are worried about would only apply if the game was not popular. If it is, then there will be more than enough competition. This isn't the Wii-U we talking about here

...But its not a PC game. Its an Xbox game. What kind of Xbox games are download only? Right, those that aren't legit, full value, retail games. Unless download only is gonna be a common practice with AAA XboxOne games, yeah it comes off as cheap.

I'm approaching it as a fighting game player, not casual. Different versions, select characters being unavailable, no hard copy. All these things are concerns. And only being on Xbox, of course.

They have already announced that all full retail games will have digital versions available on the same date. PS3 already has digital games available same day as retail.

The XB1 can only be used if you are online so why does it matter if you have a hard copy or not? Even if you had a hard copy all you would do is put the disc in so it can be installed to your hdd and essentially be a digital copy.

People in the fighting game community don't like things that fracture the scene.

The scene wont be fractured. The people who only try Jago out wont be a part of the scene. They will try the game to see if they like it then stop playing it if they dont. You think the scene will be fractured if someone only has 6 characters instead of 12? Why would it matter how many characters your opponent has available when even if they had all 12 they would only use 4?

I guess anyone that's gonna be into it is gonna buy the full retail regardless. Idk, I still don't like the precedent.

Now that you mention it, the other problems with The Xbox are gonna be real issues. Think about trying to have this at tournaments. Can't just bring copies of the game and random systems, you need specific systems that have downloaded their own copies. And an internet connection and Gold account for each system :mindblown: What a nightmare.

Remember you can play your games on any XB1. All someone would have to do is log into their account and they can play the game anywhere, including at tournaments. Im pretty sure at a tournament there will be no shortage of people who have the game on their account.

Doesn't that only work once and then the game is tied to that 2nd system permanently? Plus like I said...you'd need an internet connection for each system :snoop:

Boy MS has done a terrible job getting the little good word there is about this system out.

If you own a game you can go to any XB1 in existence, log into your account, and play that game. As many times as you want. Games are not tied to a system, they are tied to your account.

Tournaments have internet, they use it to stream. Just get the XB1s logged into that internet signal using wifi.

First Ive heard about that. When did they clarify this at the conference? Last I heard it was some shyt about only being able to share a game with someone on your friends list for 30 days, and the game then becomes tied to their system.

Not all tourneys are livestreamed and regardless, that shyt is still needless hassle and trust me, WILL be reason enough for tournament runners to not include the new KI at their events. Any new fighters will be ran on PS4, you can be sure of that.

It was in a press release last week.

How Games Licensing Works on Xbox One

Tournament runners include the games that the most people want to play or games that have been sponsored by the publisher. If a lot of people want to play KI they will have the game there.

M$ has tried, its just the fakkit fanboys shouting from the rooftops thats drowning the good news out. The fact of the matter is xbox is simply trying to emulate the Steam model, which has the same idea of buying games, that are stored to the harddrive, but require online DRM to function. I've used this model on steam and its generally works amazingly well. Plus it's now painless to uninstall and install games on whatever machine i choose. Its rediculous that people are so upset that they'll ignore all these awesome upgrades.

Now you have idiots like gotdamyamangus or whatever his name is, upset that M$ is offering games free to play now! :heh: I mean, if you still want to buy the game at full price before playing you can do that to, but nikkas are hell bent on staying mad it seems.

Once again, you have no idea what you're talking about. Go stand in the corner.
