He is lower end of elite, but to pretend like he's up there with Bron/Kawhi/Giannis/Steph is just goofy......and I wouldn't even put Harden or Luka on the level of those four in terms of expectations. Dame is on the level of Jimmy Butler where it took multiple collapses by the favorites for him AND almost everyone on his squad to get hot for him to end up in the Finals. It's not that they're both playing underdog. They simply are the underdog. That's just how it works. Occasionally we'll get the shot against OKC or Houston just like we got Butler vs Bron game 5 (and the following game Jimmy fell back down to earth). I don't get why people get upset that Dame occasionally has a puncher's chance, but him ending up in the WCF is the peak of what he's going to do 99% of the time if Bron/Kawhi are healthy in the west.
