Not necessarily. This is the same mindset that America went into the Vietnam war with. If either side retreats into the jungle it could be a multi-decade long war with no winner.


Those jungles are just as difficult to fight in as the mountains of Afghanistan are. And Cambodia is mostly jungle. I expect asymmetrical warfare, with guerillas and insurgents. Unless Thailand wants to light their shared jungle on fire, those Lockheed f-16s will be useless under the jungle canopy.. And this is before considering the tunnels under the jungle.


I suspect China will get involved as well. They have heavy economic investment in Cambodia and are the local hegemon. The chaos of regime change is not favorable to China.

It crazy because for tourist to do their visa runs every 60 days, they take a bus from BKK to a border town in Cambodia to renew.

Now that’s off limits, CACs going to have to fly to Vietnam instead.

When I made my visa runs every, everybody told be about that bus ride. I think it’s 6-8 round trip. I wasn’t about that long ass ride with some dusty CACs.

I flew to PP instead and stayed there for 4 nights before flying back to BKK.
