i liked the viceland show, never really bothered once they moved to showtime, stopped listening to the podcast long before all that.

i like desus and think he actually smart/funny, mero is fukking annoying and corny.

but i will always enjoy how they clowned the fukk out of DJ Envy though. :mjlol:

I honestly think Desus is undercover gay.

Their run lasted longer than I thought it would, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they hardly fukk with each other in real life.

That story about how they met has always been iffy to me. I always thought the “summer school/night school in the Bronx” thing wasn’t real.

I’m willing to bet they met online in gamer rooms, but always felt ashamed to admit that.

Hope it was an amicable split. I supported them big time for years dating back to Complex, but the act got old once they switched to SHO.

breh I've felt this same shyt for years.

meanwhile, their podcast has been running on fumes for the longest.

The Vice show was actually funny when they were busting their asses doing all the work but they wanted that bag and got it at Showtime.

The new show was trash from day one, Mero was NEVER funny, and Desus couldn't carry the shyt solo forever and ever

Desus and Mero were funny when they had the daily show on Vice and commented on current events, but once they went to SHO and hired a team of cac and mammy writers to try and mimic their voice, they shyt started to get stale. Desus & Mero will probably be good if they go their separate ways but people fukk with them as a duo. nikkas leaving bread on the table.

Idk. Not sure about Mero but Desus is about to guest host for Jimmy Kimmel. And CBS (the parent company for Showtime) needs a Late Night host replacement so if he gets that it would definitely be more bread.

Colossal blowing of a bag underway.

I honestly hope they don’t think people care about Desus OR Mero cause it ain’t gonna go how they think it’s gonna go
They dont even have the presence on Twitter they once had.

Desus posts every couple of days now...he used to post multiple times in a day. And his tweets dont even get the same amount of likes or retweets they used to.

Got put on to them through my girl

Immediately , as soon as I heard one of their podcast, I thought these nikkas talk like message board nikkas , (I was on boxden at that time) and I think that's where at least one

I've always noticed that. These nikkas always hate on the ones that are most like them. Desus and Mero both act like exactly the type of dudes who were knee deep in SOHH and yet these knee deep in SOHH nikkas are the FIRST ones calling em corny
And thats why I fukked with them...they were relatable cause I thought "ayo these nikkas just like me".

:francis: Dudes were basically New Yawkers for dummies. I tried to watch them when they were on Vice before the network went to stir fried asscheeks and they were straight. After a while like countless people said on here, they got stale as hell. After "Chopped Cheese" "Bodega" and countless obnoxious "I'M FROM NEW YORK" gimmicks, its about type to wrap it up.
Notice how as soon as they left, Eddie Huang, and Action Bronson left shortly after and the network was never the same.

Lowkey (or not) Desus & Mero gave them a lifeline...people ain't fukkin with them like that otherwise. Especially black folks.

Everyone left VICELAND because of all the controversy surrounding Vice in 2016-18. There were massive MeToo allegations, and the founder had shady right-wing ties. Basically all the faces of the network let their deals run out except for Action Bronson who only just left about a year or so ago.
