I think I played the album 4 times. By comparison, I played Ab Soul's 'These days' probably 25-30 times.

You talking about "These Days" being a major flop? Because if you are then you're correct but TPAB didn't flop. I remember when people were saying Soulo was better than Kendrick LMAO

Stupendous flop.

A flop to who? The same posters who desperately want it to be?

Its one of the most critically celebrated albums of all time, will be at minumum grammy nominated and it continues to selll. It just sold another 22k this week and will mostly likely creep its way to platinum just like gkmc did.

If thats a flop then 100% of the rap game is flopping.

it dropped and 5 minutes later people called it the goat album only to not talk about it 2 weeks later:mjlol:, they prolly digested the lyrics and realized that its a boring garbage 1 dimensional faux militant album filled with respectability politics disguised as being pro-black.. and the same type of people who shytted on raven symone, diddy, stacey dash, and several other famous c00ns dikkrode kendrick and gave him a pass because they liked how the music sounded

I'm happy this shyt is struggling to go platinum and Cole is gonna outlast him when its all said and done:smug50:
It's a soundtrack for hotep nikkas and his fans don't even notice that shyt

Not like it flopped but for all the hype it received and all the clout it seemed to carry it didn't meet its own standards

I can still listen to GKMC like its fresh, I tried listening to TPAB and just can't get into any of it.

Kendrick is a great artist, I'd prefer if he made more GKMC-esque music

I don't know why people are looking to Kendrick as some kind of pro-black militiant prophet in the first place. It's pretty ridiculous that people are trying to allow an artist that works for a big music label/corporation lead them in how they should see/act/perceive a certain message.

If you think Kendrick wasn't fishing for sales with this album that's wrong too(in my opinion). This album was put out and the big label thought they'd cash in on all the Police-Black conflict that is currently affecting the country, especially with an artist like Kendrick

:ufdup:You know I just went through like 10 pages of the booth and found NOTHING on TPAB right.
You'z a fukking liar.:pacspit:
:camby:And stop bullshytting everyone.

:umad: you still don't see the irony of your thread

I didn't really like "TPAB" at all but to suggest it flopped or to even pose the question is blatantly fishing for Daps from people that dislike him.

I thought it was dope and a good follow up album to GKMC. It IS different, and I do prefer the sound of GKMC more, but I'm glad he made this album. Whenever Kendrick is done making music, he's gonna have a great and varied catalogue of music to go back to.
