:dahell: DJ Drama with his "Gangsta Grillz" mixtape series was a big name in Hip-Hop before DJ Khaled was.

it was a southern rapper(i think jeezy) that coined that phrase saying drama wants to be khaled, but doesnt look out for dudes like khaled does.

basically insinuating that drama wants the luv khaled gets in the industry.

Envy didn't speak during the first 12 minutes of this interview. Charlemagne questions Envy about why he's not talking to Drama during the interview. There was supposed to be a BreakfastClub and DJ Drama mixtape when the breakfast club first started. Drama backed out because Hot 97 said they wouldn't play his record if he did the breakfast club mixtape. DJ Drama just ceased communicating with Envy and never lets him know why he backed out. Drama says he spoke with Charlemagne about it, but Envy was still upset because they were cool and he felt he should have spoke to him as well.

why couldnt envy just do it himself in the 1st place?

Don't care for the messenger, i'm way more concerned about the message. By the way that's some flawed logic. Being the best lyricist in the game as claimed by Drake and his fans/stans, it's an unforgivable sin to use ghostwriters/reference tracks. Period. He (was) in that elite tier, the expectation is that you obviously write your own shyt.
1.do we have proof or is this just gossip?

2.a sin? umm no. but that just means meek a fake hip hop artist like many already believe . still doesn't save drake. no one is above hip hop.
Ok so what do you guys want to happen ? Drake kicked out of rap ? If someone had drake ranked as best rapper of all time or Goat that's on him . All this should show is we don't know what goes on behind the scenes as much as everyone in here acts like they do ( I'm talking prodrake or antidrake) and pay more attention .
What's confusing to me is Kanye claims king and he gets help routinely yet that fact is ignored because he produces ,Nas got help with his rhymes on illmatic, Kanye appears to be giving jay a reference track for lucifer on fade to black . So in my opinion it seems like a lot of this stuff is hate since peole don't like drakes subject matter and upbringing . If you notice most people don't respond to this they start talking about so and giving excuses why that's all different

:banderas: The 1st "There Is No Competition" though....shyt was one of my personal mixtape classics. Fab was on his shyt on that one.

Still on regular rotation. There are 3 mistapes for me that after 10 years they never....ever get old

DJ Dirty Harry Rap Phenomenon Notorious BIG
DJ Drama There is no Competition Volume 1 Fabolous
DJ Numbers - Still Ill Beastie Boys (Remixes, Freestyles and Unreleased)

Anyone who dont have those 3 get them, you wont be disappointed.

They didn't want to do it if it wasn't Gangsta Grillz. The whole marketing point behind it was that it was going to be the first Gangsta Grillz mixtape that wasn't with an artist.

I'm just stating a fact, Meek discovered Drake sold him a verse he didn't write and felt some type of way about it, he obviously confronted Drake about it and later revealed it on social media.

What's fake is how everyone is saying that Meek should have kept quiet about it because Drake has done nice things for him in the past, but here's the thing, if having writers in hip hop is as common as everyone now suggests, then what's the problem with Meek saying something that "everybody knows about"?

1.i could give a fukk about what "happens" to drake. but now he won't be mentioned with the greats....he was overrated anyways and never really was hip hop. he can be famous and be the no1 urban pop rap artist. :ehh:

2.breh no credible hip hop head has kanye in the top 50 based off him writing his own shyt. :russ:

they say he is one of the best musical producers or say he is influential.

the nas shyt is exaggerated gossip.

3.people know about hooks buddy....he is not giving jay flows or verses for every song. thats a mc main attraction....his lyrics, cadence, flow tone of his voice, his lifestyle . rap has no melodies ...the mc create them with his flows over a looped beat.

u think jay would release that if it was something that would take away from his status as a "god mc" and let nas stans celebrate and claim victory ? :patrice:

But Meek WAS gonna keep quiet about it. If Drake would've went to his "homecoming" concert he wasn't gonna say shyt.

receipts will surface in an upcoming Meek interview, makes no difference to me whether you believe it or not.

Meek accuses Drake of not tweeting out his album because Meek discovered that Drake didn't write his verse for RICO.

This implies that Drake somehow knew that Meek discovered that he didn't write his verse, Drake knew this because Meek confronted him about it.

Could yall dude PLEASE stop throwing great MC's under the bus to support Drake?

Until yall post concrete evidence I don't wanna hear " bu, bu,bu MC such and such did it too".

And everybody looks at Kanye in the same Vain as a Diddy or Dre a PRODUCER that makes great records.

DRAKE champions himself as an MC that is the best in the game at RAPPING.

And not to long ago Drake WOULD have been kicked out of rapping. Nobody would have took him serious anymore after this exposal.
