theres dozens of reference tapes for drakes, these are the ones that just so happened to leak

the guy who calls himself the best rapper doing it is having other guys write the foundation for damn near all of his songs, but somehow everyone else is the problem :dead:

i'm in the twilight zone

@brother walt

these people on the coli/real world are so stupid that they can't see that other artists will side with drake to keep that money coming in. they actually believe that if someone don't speak out publicly that they agree with rappers having their sh*t written for them :dead:
Agreed.

This shyt is baffling to me :wow:

@ModernFonzie @Wacky D @hexagram23 let me ask you this , if meek knew about the reference track and STILL decided to use the song because he wanted a drake stimulus package , then started feeling himself once his album dropped at 1 and drake wasn't tweeting so he decided to try and get at drake since he felt he was hot , does that make meek look worse or better ?
:dahell: Man who gives a fukk about Meek and his situation.

We have a rapper using reference tracks. Why is this allowed and not condemned?? How we coming for Meek and not Drake??

Drake may be a fukkboy at times but why are you acting like reference tracks are some rare fukking unicorn? In an industry where cats beef for beats what did you expect?

Because if meek was ok with it prior to a money fallout it shows that it's not this unforgivable sin . If it was so bad to meek why didn't he do this the moment he found out and not put the song on the album and try to capitalize off it ?

That reference track shyt for for the Diddy's and Dr.Dre's of the world. I mean if you looked at the Booth 6 months ago all you would see was Drake vs Cole Vs Kendrick threads. They were the cream of the crop, best of the new school. Drake been bigging himself up like he the best with the pen, come to find out he shares his pen. Be honest, prior to this beef would you believe Drake having a ghostwriter or anything close to it? Personally I didn't because everyone including Drake and myself put him in the elite tier. You can't be one of the top artists in the rap game not writing your own shyt and using ref tracks. Come on.

I'm just stating a fact, Meek discovered Drake sold him a verse he didn't write and felt some type of way about it, he obviously confronted Drake about it and later revealed it on social media.

What's fake is how everyone is saying that Meek should have kept quiet about it because Drake has done nice things for him in the past, but here's the thing, if having writers in hip hop is as common as everyone now suggests, then what's the problem with Meek saying something that "everybody knows about"?

:lupe:

Ehh from the looks of it, it seems Meek was ulterior motives. It's possible he knew about before the fact and still used it on his album. And even if that isn't true the only reason he even said anything is because Drake didn't tweet his album and he was feeling himself when Nicki was getting all that love on twitter about the VMA's shyt

Don't care for the messenger, i'm way more concerned about the message. By the way that's some flawed logic. Being the best lyricist in the game as claimed by Drake and his fans/stans, it's an unforgivable sin to use ghostwriters/reference tracks. Period. He (was) in that elite tier, the expectation is that you obviously write your own shyt.

1.do we have proof or is this just gossip?

2.a sin? umm no. but that just means meek a fake hip hop artist like many already believe . still doesn't save drake. no one is above hip hop.

but niki was getting love over some female body type shyt. thats a girly issue.

she wasn't getting love for beefing or directly dissing taylor. white america would have not took her side, just like with kanye.

Explain dear good sir :feedme:
Envy didn't speak during the first 12 minutes of this interview. Charlemagne questions Envy about why he's not talking to Drama during the interview. There was supposed to be a BreakfastClub and DJ Drama mixtape when the breakfast club first started. Drama backed out because Hot 97 said they wouldn't play his record if he did the breakfast club mixtape. DJ Drama just ceased communicating with Envy and never lets him know why he backed out. Drama says he spoke with Charlemagne about it, but Envy was still upset because they were cool and he felt he should have spoke to him as well.
