Drake looks destined for #1 next week—both he and Beyoncé are out physically this week and each may have around 50k in physical sales—the new set from Radiohead (due out Sunday via XL) is the week's wild card. How big a noise will Thom Yorke and his mates make? Stay tuned.

Drake (YMCMB/Republic) 160-180k album, 290-315k SPS
Beyoncé (Columbia) 120-130k, 210-235k
Keith Urban (Capitol Nashville) 75-80k, 80-85k
Cole Swindell (Warner Music Nashville) 55-60k, 57-62k
Andy Black (Lava/Republic) 18-20k, 20-23k
Mike Posner (Island) 11-13k, 24-2

HITS Daily Double : Rumor Mill - ONE-DAYS: DRAKE, BEY, RADIOHEAD

That decline is brazy. 850k to only 160k?:russ:

he'll still be on the charts for the time being but that 1st week is all he can capitalize on. now all he's got is radio play and music videos to help him keep charting.

Album was the result of 3 years of hype/anticipation. A hit mixtape. A hit beef record, a hit pop record, a hit collab mixtape with the hottest rapper of 2015 and a highly publicized beef. The album itself wasn't good and won't have the legs that A great album like Take Care had. It'll go on to sell less than NWTS and Take Care.

It's just not a good project. Plus, I saw in an interview that he only started working on the album in September of 2015 :mindblown:

You hype that album up for that long as your magnum opus and you only work on it for 5 months or so?

While not writing most of it or producing any of it?

The decline for "this generations em/50/Wayne" like the stans say is brazy though. :sas2:Album may not even go 2x platinum in pure sales once it leaves 100k or sps.

These numbers don't mean shyt anymore now that they are counting streams. The way that they are quantifying a "stream" is suspect.

To be fair, more people were buying music back then tho.

He would sell just as much in those eras.
