This game is the only thing holding together the EA Sports name in America, and with NCAA gone they have nothing else. They will pay any price.
But someone like Disney stepping up to outbid them would be dope....sh*t I could see Microsoft throwing some CRAZY amount of money at them to make an NFL game exclusively for 360/XBOne.

You guys think the people who worked on the NFL2K series just been sitting in the studio with nothing to do for the past 8 years? Them dudes are spread out working everywhere, prob. some of them are at EA.
Competition will be a good thing but don't hold your breath expecting the successor to NFL2K5 right out the gate.

no it doesnt. Remember that guy who made 2K went to EA to be the head of NBA Live? And then he left after a few months b/c the EA suits essentially weren't concerned about putting out a good product.

Naw he actually stayed the first year to help make NBA Live 10 and he wasn't the head, he just lead the gameplay aspect. NBA Live 10 is the best rated game of the series last gen by the way

Madden needs competition. This is great for gamers.
To be honest, I only buy Madden every other year and I always sell my copy on eBay before Christmas for around $50.
That's the only way it's worth it for me when it's the same experience year after year.

2k just got the WWE licensee...I don't know why the baseball game has been trash for so long though its puzzling to be honest

No way can EA afford for what happen to Live happen to Madden.
They can't risk a company making a superior game that makes their flagship Game irrelevant.
