EA needs to sell the Madden name to 2k. I've been playing Madden since Sega Genesis. The name is synonymous with video game football.

The longer that EA prevents competition in the NFL games, the harder their demise is going to be. Like how NBA 2K shytted on Live and force them to disappear for a few years. The Day that a game that is the true successor of NFL 2k5 comes out, is the day people realize that Madden is pure shyt.

2K already knew that 2k5 was gonna be their last football game b/c the NFL deal with EA was already complete, that's why they priced it that way. And that's also why, IMO, they threw every bit of greatness into it they could.
They TROLLED EA something so hard that's it's lasted for 10 years now and Madden still can't top 2k5 in terms of presentation, commentary, overall depth.
Also pricing their entire line at $20 that year opened them up to steal EA's audience, and they did. I'd never played NBA 2K series before that year and since then I've never bought an NBA Live and neither have many other people. Madden might be NBA Live status right now had EA not bought that licnse.
There is no incentive to improve in a Monopoly, breh. Anyone who really wants a football game only has one choice, why exactly should Madden expend energy/resources when people will buy their shyt either way?
After the abortion that was NBAVC 2k14 I don't know why anyone would want a NFL game from them.
