Make sure those CACs are doing what they are supposed to with your child.

Correct me if I'm wrong because maybe I don't know as much about this as I should, but 32 weeks is 8 months1. I'm 32 weeks or seven months for the folks who can't count.

Congrats, OP. How are you and your new daughter doing today?
Make sure those CACs are doing what they are supposed to with your child.
Black girls born premature have the highest success rate out of all preemie births (this is known), and 32 weeks is more so a moderate preemie, most non specialized preemie hospitals will do births at 32 weeks so you should be fine.
Pregnancy werids up all the numbers, but you are right.Correct me if I'm wrong because maybe I don't know as much about this as I should, but 32 weeks is 8 months
Regardless, congrats ma

Glad to hear the update.Highlights:
1. I'm 32 weeks or seven months for the folks who can't count.
2. The doctors are pumping me up with various antibiotics to prevent infection.
3. I'm also receiving steroids to help her lungs develop faster.
4. The goal is to give birth to her at 34 weeks, she will still be a preemie unfortunately.
5. She's currently 3 and a half pounds.
6. We are in the best hospital in the state, (University of Vermont Medical Center)
Please keep us in your thoughts, especially her. She needs all she can get.
Update: She decided to join us early and blossomed into the world at 9:58pm. She came out screaming and protesting, Lol.
The NICU team was right on it and started her on the CPAP machine. I was told by one of her doctors that they have to insert a breathing tube

Happy to say she is doing so good! She was on IV Dextrose and is now taking full breast milk. The blue light is for Jaundice, but she has a mask on to protect her eyes, she really dislikes the mask or anything on her period so she's constantly trying to take everything off. If she keeps up with the progress, she'll be moved out of the NICU to the trasistion unit. Thank you for all the love y'all, Sunflower is going hard!
She's doing very well, taking full breast milk and has even latched onto my breast. She's not ready for a bottle yet, but she's my fighter.
