I actually disagree here. Taking that antagonistic approach only leaves you in poverty that haiti is currently experiencing, ultimately because we live in an interconnected world. Haitians also arent the only non-whites to take that model and suffer for it. North Korea comes to mind as do Cubans, Iranians, Venezuelans, zimbabweans, and afghani(s). In 2022, None of these people are a model of excellence, including the hatians.
I agree with both yall, @TRUEST and @Double Burger With Cheese in the fact that its not their physical characteristics that lead them to where they are today. Its their culture/way of viewing the world. They have a tremendous way of minting value in ways that other groups have been unable to (often unwilling to) do so.
Lemme quote the late great, Dr. Amos Wilson in saying that "culture is a power. If you have one group who see(s) a cow as a reincarnation of grandma they will treat it differently and experience different results. Now compare that to a group of people which see that same cow as 'Money on hooves". Only one of these groups will succeed. Culture is key".
Here Dr. Wilson is hinting that it is our cultural beliefs and values which have hampered non-white people in our engagement with whites. This isnt just true for hindu-indians or even just in the topic of livestock. Compare the mindest of native Americans who believed in the sacredness of land, to that of whites who saw it as a resource to be expended. Compare early japan's view that ONLY their territoy was important and worth fighting for, to that of cac(s) who say all territory(irregardless of who is sitting on it) is up for grabs. Same could be said for the non-thrill seeking black person who ponders his earthly problems and questions the sanity of getting on a rocket vs. the thrill seeking white person who sidelines earthly problems to get on a rocket and bring back a meteorite made of gold.
Its both that thrill seeking and value seeking cultural model that put white people where they are. Not physical traits.

The hatian model is a pyrhic victory at best, and short sighted at worst. I mean seriously look at all the non-whites currently doing well in the world. Think argentina, singapore,chile, china, Saudi(s), japanese, etc. Each and every single one of them only succeeded because they grew in tandem with cac(s).
Even within a single country you can see the non-antagonistic approach leading to the betterment of the nation's people. For instance, compare the antagonistic, poverty stricken china of chairman Mao's era, to the coexisting and value driven China of Deng Xiaopeng. Only one of these models made the lives of citizens better and even raised the status of the country as a whole.
