2 diff types of herpes : 1 & 2

S1 : 50% of kids have it by like 10 or so.
also majority of the population (70-80%) currently have this form from childhood, sharing cups, kissing etc.....

S2 : this is the one they are talking about in the OP that is transmitted via sex and can affect a women during birth if untreated.
my mom told me they have to check every women before birth for herpes for that reason

Yea. The 2 can crossover, but herpes 1 prefers the nerve cells of the mouth area for some reason, so it’ll turn up more often there and herpes 2 prefers the genital area and will thrive more there. U can also get both on your and arms or fingers.

The chicken pox is also a form of herpes that is current living in most of our nerve cells in this thread.
