Under 30, no kids, single person household. The best they could do was damn near $200 a month.

The tax is 1% of income up to $10k, roughly $100 a year. Then it goes to 2% next year if you decline, then 2.5%. I'd rather pay that tax and pay for my own medical than pay $2400 a year
shyt and $2400 per month is cheap. I was paying nearly $4000 with insurance.

I'm all for required check ups and shyt. Like I think people should have bloodwork done on a yearly basis but just charge $100 for a comprehensive check up.

"you shouldnt have been drinking so much soda to get the kidney stones.

take care of your body....like me.

and yes, if i get hit with something like that, i will pay what i owe, like the fukking man i am, and deal with the consequences of my decisions, because im a grown adult."

Nah I don't support it. But that's one of the stupidest things I've ever seen, typed on this message board.

I never for once thought a day in my adult life i would be forced to pay for some shyt living here :snoop:

I know a part time worker at my job who came home a few years ago...trying to do the right thing...fixes cars under the table in his spare time, but living off 200 or so a week in over the table money...single, no kids, male....they want something like 227 dollars from him a month based on his expected over the table income :wtf:...shyt is sickening...easily one of the WOAT presidents of all time. This caconeese is sticking it to alot of middle class and poor working folks

Im eating that fine this year :pacspit:

i wonder if this money he is forcing people to pay is being somehow secretly funneled to fund his drone programs that kill innocent people overseas :patrice:
lol.
you go ahead and eat that fine this year and pray nothing bad happens. cause if it does my friend. your bills will be :ooh:

lets say you play a little ball on a saturday afternoon. you dunk on some idiot, but you come down wrong. leg fracture. lets just talk about the X-ray. that could run you from $210.00 - $1700, depending on who does it, where you get it done(what state/city)

we aint even getting into the doctor visit you will have to pay for $90+, how's about that cast?

lets see what the pros say

  • Without health insurance, non-surgical treatment for a broken leg typically costs up to $2,500 or more for a fracture that requires a cast. A leg X-ray costs an average of $210, according to NewChoiceHealth.com[1] , but can cost as much as $1,000 or more at some radiology centers. And application of a short or long leg cast costs about $221 to $238, not including the doctor fee, according to Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center[2] in Lincoln, Nebraska. A typical doctor fee for non-surgical treatment of a fracture would include$90 to $200 for the office visit and from $250 to $950 for treatment, according to Carolina Orthopaedic Surgery Associates[3] .
  • Without health insurance, surgical treatment of a broken leg typically costs $17,000 to $35,000 or more. For example, at the Kapiolani Medical Center in Hawaii, repair of an uncomplicated leg fracture[4] costs about $16,082, while repair of a complicated leg fracture[5] costs about $33,565, not including the surgeon's fee. A typical surgeon's fee could reach $2,000 or more, according to Carolina Orthopaedic Surgery Associates[6] .
  • A broken leg generally would be covered by health insurance. With health insurance, typical expenses for treatment for a broken leg could include doctor visit copays and treatment coinsurance that could reach thousands of dollars or the yearly out-of-pocket maximum

  • Additional costs:
    • Going to an emergency room for treatment initially could add $1,000 to $2,000 or more to the final bill; costs would include an emergency room visit fee, an emergency room doctor fee and the cost of a temporary cast such as an air cast; the patient would then need to seek treatment from a specialist.
    • Crutches cost about $15 to $40 for a basic pair or up to $100 or more for deluxe forearm crutches.
    • Physical therapy might be necessary to help regain strength and balance. Several sessions per week at$50 to $75 per hour for six to eight weeks could cost $1,000 or more.
    • For patients who have a broken bone treated surgically, metal hardware usually can be left in, unless it causes irritation; if removal is required, it can cost between $2,533 and $11,710 or more, according to Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center[9] in Lincoln, Nebraska.
here's the reality of the situation. you could always play the game and not pay for any insurance. you dont have to have car insurance. sure you SHOULD. but you can sneak around and pray the cops dont catch you. well actually the cops are the least bit of your worries. pray you dont get into a bad accident.i mean imagine having to fix just your own fender for $2500 since you dont have insurance cause you didnt want to pay the mandatory montly fee of say $150 per for full coverage + $500 ded(if something were to happen).
lets do the math. $150.00 per month x 12 mons + the $500 ded. is less then your bumper.

but hey everyone doesnt have accidents. just like everyone isnt going to need a doctor.

but you're better safe then sorry. now if you're too broke to afford $171 to $200 for health insurance. obamacare aint changing your life with a baby fine. so why even mention it? you were never going to pay.

but the funny thing is this. you say you never thought you would be forced to pay for anything. i dont think you realize how the economy works. you were always forced to pay TAXES.

wake up. how do you think medicaid is paid? how do you think your non insurance having emergency room visit will get paid if you meet "To broke to pay" requirements? WE pay for it. i didnt sign up to pay for your bad judgement or hoop dreams, etc. But i do. Why? because thats how a successful society works. we all kick in, to help the least. the ACA is just saying look, we already are paying for people via taxes anyway. might as well directly pool these funds into the health accounts right now. so we can all have that insurance coverage.

if you already had insurance at your job that you didnt pay an arm and a leg for. you're good. its not about you. you are already kicking in, to the system. but for the rest of yall. wake up and stop being silly. get that insurance.

What so crazy about this is the health insurance my job offer is terrible. But it's still better than this shyt the government offering thru United Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

I've registered but might have to eat the $200 this year and buy the insurance my job offer next year.
the reality is your job's insurance should be better. your job kicks in a portion. why would it not be better? learn math bruhs.

the only way your job insurance is worse then federal insurance thru the exchanges is if your job aint kicking in for your insurance. and they make you pay for 100% of it. so basically its not insurance from your job. they are just playing the role of an exchange themselves.

what a lot of yall dont realize is that because of the way the ACA works. no more pre-existing condition clauses to stop people from being covered. no more kicking people off their insurances because they've spent a lot money with an illness or condition. thats a lot of kids, not just grown ups that usually get denied for this kind of stuff. this is something that ACA forced the insurance companies to do. but doing that costs money. so we all have to pay. the more healthy people get in, the cheaper it will be for EVERYONE including you. the more yall take the "i'm saying out" approach. the higher the costs will be.

you can be willing to eat that. but if you're willing to eat it. you got the money. and if you got the money. pay up and get insurance. and stop being an idiot. men in general are idiots when it comes to healthcare. just because you dont get too sick too often. doesnt mean you dont need that annual to semi annual check up as you get older. (NOT OLD). OLDER. you never know what you may have until its to late with your mentality. you gets no check ups. therefore they can never find cancer that you have. by the time you go checking. you're probably a stage 4 on your way out. all you had to do was get your check ups and they could've caugth that at stage 1 or 2 and you would be good to go. but nawwww you dont want to pay a couple of dollars even though you say you can eat an entire medical bill without insurance.

in addition. you already help pay for everyone doing the same stupid thing you're doing right now(not having insurance). and for those that cant eat the bill or afford it. thats coming out of your taxes. Its also killing the rest of us and making us pay higher premiums to cover those people.

again the ACA is setup so that the more healthy people like yourself get in, the cheaper it would be for ALL OF US. not just someone else. YOU TOO. but imagine how many healthy young dudes are thinking just like you. if all yall could get off that old mindset and understand whats going on. you would realize when all of you join together and hop in. the rates will be noticeably cheaper. the rates are good for some now, wack for a small portion and so so for the rest. thats cause yall have not jumped in like yall need to. yall being the ultra healthy population.
