People think way too hard when it comes to evaluating coaches. The Warriors offensive execution was night and day from the previous season. Way less 1on1 ball and struggle post ups to constant off ball action, ball movement and P&R's which he deserves credit for. The team made great adjustments when faced with adversity which he deserves credit for. His rotations have been damn near flawless and their injury luck can be attributed to how well they managed player minutes which he deserves credit for. Yeah he had great assistant coaches, but last I checked one of the big issues with M Jax was that he was unwilling to shake up his staff and hire better assistants. He wanted more control than Kerr who was glad to listen to other suggestions and put the expertise of others before him no matter their rank, and he deserves credit for that. Warriors won 83 games which is the third most in NBA history and he clearly deserves a huge deal of credit for that

The D
Coach Adams/Coach Gentry get the same amount of credit as I give coach Kerr because I have many valid reasons to believe without those 2 on the squad the appropriate adjustments wouldn't of been made let's not act like coaching is in a vacuum.
wasnt gentry getting a head coach type salary this year? :patrice:

I still can't believe Mark Jackson was praising Isolation basketball when covering the Cavs/Bulls

All I thought was, "That's why the warriors are winning and you're doing color commentary" :JJ:

I'm not sure how much credit he should get for the Finals. He had the immensely more talented team, and was against another rookie coach who was supposed to be one of his assistants. His job was essentially to not fukk it up. Coaching in this league is often overvalued anyway.
