So how much credit are we giving Steve Kerr?

How many of those teams were dominant to the level of this Warriors team?

Hey maybe the Spurs or Clippers give them a better challenge than the Rockets, but when your propping up a team that lost in the first round(losing 2 games at home in the process) and another team that choked away a 3-1 lead in epic fashion, you gotta realize how silly that sounds right?

How many teams have we've seen dominant in the regular season but get slowed down in the post season :why:

They may have still pulled it out. Just saying I want to see how he does next year and the years after.

Yea, the Spurs beat them imo. LeBron and Delly took them to 6 games :pachaha:

Spurs would have swept the Cavs.
Clippers at least take the Warriors to 6 games to tire them out for the next opponent.

Quantify that he's "great" in those things than b...give me proof.

A championship is the end result but doesn't speak for anything of those coaching specific things.

Oh and ima need to here your definition of great and how many damn coaches do you consider great in the whole league.:sas1:

Winning one NBA title is all it takes these days for nikkas to start throwin the great label around in these streets now? :sas2:
Name 3 better coaches in the league now.

Doc
Rick Carlisle

easy
Carlisle is not a great motivator and has an ego problem. He just handled the Rondo situation horribly. His is a great coach though and is good at Xs and Os.

Doc just lost ANOTHER series after being up 3-1. He's a good coach too, but he makes a lot of mistakes.

Both of those guys lack the total package but are also great coaches in their own right.

The Warriors lost those 2 games to the Cavs because their shots were not falling and they are a shooting team...

Teams whose game focus on shooting will have slumps. Whether or not it happens during a key moment in the course of their journey to a chip is on them...

You must've never heard of Tex Winters(not propped by the media, just basketball purists)... They low key wanted to give Thibs credit for Doc's championship....
Doc got praised up the ass when the Celtics won, Thibs became a name in the following seasons, nobody at the time was saying Thibs 'deserves equal credit'

I give him a ton of credit... he took the same team from last season that finished with the 6th seed and turned them into Champions. You can discredit them all you want for guys being hurt on their path to the Finals, but it is what it is.

People can't just brush off the adjustments he made in this series. Something wasn't working so he adjusted and got his team in a better position to win. That's something that a lot of coaches struggle with. Simply putting their team in the best position to win. This team was extremely confident throughout the entire season as well, and that's a testament to Kerr's communication skills with that roster.

Hoiberg got next though

All this drip on me

:camby:
So we gon act like this series defines him as a coach and like he doesn't have a ring like Kerr, yet better coaching accomplishments and players love playing for him. We gon act like he not a good xs and os coach too?

A one year wonder cac aint getting the benefit of the doubt over a man who has coached multiple franchises and contended with them.

Were people saying Tex should've gotten credit for the Bulls rings because Phil really didn't do much?

Let's stay on topic please.... Where in the thread did it say "give credit?" I replied to a post that said he's never seen assistant coaches "propped" up like this....... Giving props and giving someone the credit are two entirely different things
