:camby:
So we gon act like this series defines him as a coach and like he doesn't have a ring like Kerr, yet better coaching accomplishments and players love playing for him. We gon act like he not a good xs and os coach too?

A one year wonder cac aint getting the benefit of the doubt over a man who has coached multiple franchises and contended with them.
:camby:
Man Doc is overrated as shyt and has been since 08 when KG and Ray fell into his lap, I been saying that shyt foh nikka :camby:

-Came in and relegated Iggy to the bench
-Got a career year out of Draymond Green
-MVP season with Steph Curry
-67 wins in the REG Season, blowing everybody out
-Utilized his entire roster (team had hardly anyone get injured)
-Down 2-1 in the Finals, changes his starting lineup... Bogut plays 3 minutes combined in the final 3 games

If you think any coach could be handed this team and got them at the level they were out for an entire year, you're delusional

Let's stay on topic please.... Where in the thread did it say "give credit?"

He gets about as much as I give Ron Adams and The Pelicans coach.

Coach Adams/Coach Gentry get the same amount of credit as I give coach Kerr because I have many valid reasons to believe without those 2 on the squad the appropriate adjustments wouldn't of been made let's not act like coaching is in a vacuum.
You dapped that post.
Gentry was slick leading the ship. I'm giving him the credit

You dapped that post.

I most certainly did dap them... because Gentry deserves recognition.......... and I'm glad someone put it out there, even if I don't agree with the "credit" term

Now... since you quoting.. quote the post that I responded too and the rhetoric that was used........... I responded to the post that talked about assistants being "propped" up..

I did not quote any of those other posts to give a full concur\co-sign to.

So KG and Ray fell into his lap then what the fukk u call Kerr inheriting the team he just got b?:stopitslime:

foh with that inconsistent logic...u gon use that on doc then use on it Kerr. You nikkas wanna crown this cat and compare and contrast him with him with dudes who been in the league long enough to have their weaknesses come to the surface yet Kerr aint even been in long enough for his weaknesses to be documented yet.

This shyt the NBA equivalent to nikkas riding Jon Gruden's dikk after he won it all in his first year as a Tampa Bay head coach:camby:

He did a great job as a rookie coach but part of me questions if they would made the WCF had there not been so many rampant injuries. But he made some key adjustments and got a Championship at the end of the day, and you can only play who is in front of you. That being said can he maintain this success in future years, especially with a West Coast hungry, and squads like the Pelicans are ascending.

1. As much credit as you can give a coach. It's not his fault that Jackson & the owner had beef; only a twat would hold that against Kerr.

2. The Warriors feasted on the league in a down year, but you still have to beat the teams in front of you.

3. How much credit does a coach really get anyway? You have to have a talented roster & guys have to hit shots. If Scott Brooks had won a title in OKC we'd be calling him great. Thibs is great, but because he couldn't get past Lebron he's out of a job. Phil coached the GOAT and a serviceable doppelgänger and he had fukking Shaq. Pop admits he doesn't even need to tell his guys what to do. Spolestra's ability to coach is entirely tied to Lebron. And on and on.

Don't be a bytch. Give Kerr his due. At least until next season.

Y'all really out here talking up Alvin Gentry like he's accomplished something in this league. Kerr already said what kind of offense he wanted to run before they hired Gentry as an assistant.

Ron Adams? He's just implementing the Thibodeau defense that the rest of the best teams in the league are doing.

Kerr is basically running Popovich's offensive and defensive schemes.

Deep down I kinda feel bad for Mark Jackson. But can't hate on what Kerr said though, he played under and learned from the best coaches, like Phil and Pop.
