so has white supposedly ownership of hip hop stop yall fav artist right now from putting out the stuff they wanted.

has white ownership stopped you from being able to get any song/album you wanted to put on a playlist so you can listen to whatever the hell you want to and not the mainstream stuff that may not sound good?

does white ownership mean that you dont have free will and dont have to buy what these corporations selling?

you're suggesting that white ownership doesn't matter because we have the option to decide who we want to listen to or support.

you're once again missing the point satan.

There's no Black ownership which means that white people are in the position to control the narrative of Black music, if White execs don't want your album to release, they'll shelve your project.

okay these artists might get the project they wanted shelved. dont those that get shelved are put out as mixtapes that us fans regard as better than the albums right now?

You'd have to go waaaaay back to the early 80's to find a period of time where hip-hop music was predominately owned, controlled and distributed by blacks. From the Run-DMC/LLCool J era on up, hip-hop has been pretty much entirely white-owned. And even in the early-80's, labels like Sugar Hill Records, which was black owned, and produced the 1st rap songs/albums to chart on billboard, they had a white-owned parent distributor. So basically, hip-hop's ENTIRE history has been controlled by whites.

White people arn't the only ones to blame tho... alot of these wack ass rappers like Waka Flocka get hyped up by black folks first... and then the hipsters jump on it and then dudes wanna shyt white folks for it.. but it goes both ways.

You also gotta blame the non rappin ass negroes that been putting abums out and getting props... Liike Master P... and I'll admit I'm even guilty of listening to and liking some of his shyt as well.. but cats like him and Puffy are really just a long line of "artist' that been putting out albums carried by producers or ghostwriters (usually both) and getting props for it.

never, you are the best. more and more white faces on the screens and magazines, yes. but maybe thats for the better and will lead to more blackness. a true black bet, with black ownership and the target audience of black people instead of young white girls and boys. black owned versions of complex, fubu. isn't diddy doing that? you just need to take back control, i mean you still have it. label dictatorship, the green god, sellouts and guys who are wack or not as good but get play because they are white and are easier to market are the main problems or am i wrong? or maybe something public funded, like bbc for blacks. or just an internetplatform like the coli. a place just for culture

Exactly. People are acting like white people started running hip hop in like 2006. Nah This has been the case for DECADES

Theyre just realizing it now
