Let's be real: Hamas and the Israeli far right feed on each other and I see both as the big impediments. Not sure if PA can ever win in Gaza though. If we get a centrist Israeli government and get rid of Abbas and the dead wood at the PA, I have hope but each election and coalition Netanyahu tacks right to survive so I am not holding my breath. If a proxy war in Lebanon or bombing of Iran goes down the Palestinians will be abandoned by everyone probably.

The difference to me is that the Israeli far-right can be voted out of office (and most likely will be next election). However, Hamas remains in total control of Gaza and continues to embezzle public funds that are keeping Gazans in depressed conditions. No Hamas = no 'open air prison' or whatever the Coli likes to call it.

I don't follow Israeli poltiics at all. But since the embassy has moved to Jerusalem, why would anyone vote out the far-right? It seems that embassy move would have bolstered their position.
