Somehow I've only bought Doggystyle once. On vinyl a few years back. Had the cassette dub at the time it dropped.

Neg rep for not even reading the OP. I've bought the album in three separate formats. Also - it's the second greatest hip hop album of all time - I'm always gonna have a playable copy on vinyl and CD.

Fifth time.
First I got the cassette. Copped the CD twice...bought the Platinum edition on vinyl, and just picked up the Get Down vinyl version from last year.
I can't think of any other album I've bought more.
It got me thinking though, has anybody bought an album six times??
Also picked up 36 (third time I've bought it) and Pimpire. Both on vinyl

Do rap albums sound better on vinyl? I've heard mixed things...

Do rap albums sound better on vinyl? I've heard mixed things...

I like rocking with actual vinyl on the turntables. It's an expensive and space consuming hobby - but Serato just strikes me as cheating. So it's moreso for the dj aspects of it - then it is for sound quality (for me at least) and to be honest - I don't have my decks hooked up to a good enough sound system where it should even make that much of a difference.

Edit: Plus I love record shopping.
