HP was garbage back in the day, but even their failure rates are better than the 360. Microsoft HAD to make the warranty free

I usually never have problems either. I had researched the tv before hand and read ppl having problems, but I figured those were an over blown minority( I was on avs forums and they can be pretty picky). Plus I'm not that hard to plz. But this was just unacceptable.

by the way... outside of the remote which I've grown to hate... this is the best tv I've ever owned... from hardware design to picture quality. I've had a sharp... own a phillips... own a Sammy... had a Hitachi.

I went and copped a 30 dollar harmony remote so i wouldn't have to switch between my uverse and TV remote for certain tasks.

it sucks that I can't use the LG app to control everything on my uverse too... or else I'd just use my phone for everything.

my harmony remote is one of the best investments i ever made. i got it well before i got my LG so i never used the magic remote and i never want to have to use it.

Fukk TVs I'm tired of buying bigger and bigger TVs that I ain't doing shyt with but Netflix
And playing P$3

I'm seriously thinking about getting a projector

I don't make threads anymore so people do me a favor... Anybody in the house got
A projector.. I always weigh these decisions before jumping in so any feedback is appreciated

I copped my first PJ back in like 2007 I think. Best decision I've ever made :ahh:

There's two big negatives, light control and lamp life. Unless you're in a light controlled room, the PQ isn't going to be that great. When I first got mine I was in an apartment and that was one of my major concerns. I just got some thick ass light blocking curtains from walmart and threw it up. First time I watched the Matrix I was like :blessed:

With the lamp, as the lamp ages, the brightness of the projector goes down. Depending on the model you got you can get a new lamp for 2-300 bucks. I'm still on the same lamp from when I bought the joint back in 07. Probably got close to 5000 hours on that bytch by now and it's still bright enough for me.

I'm getting a house end of this year, and depending on my financial situation I might just get a 4k projector. The good ones start at 20k, so I'm not really sure if I'm bout dat life :whoa:

granted i live in an apartment but even in a house i could never see myself spending that kinda money on a projector to watch TV on. i felt weird spending the $1500 each of my TVs i have now cost. both of them combined don't even cost as much as that and i'd imagine you have to buy some type of deal to project it on.

Man trust me. Having 120" of of screen real estate is the best feeling in the world after having a bad ass bytch swallowing your kids

And this is why I passed on one. Maybe one day for the basement.

Appreciate the feedback. I went and ordered a BenQ short throw
DLP with solid brightness and...

Yo..... :troll:

The fukkin screen is about 200-240 inches breh !!!!
:lolbron::lolbron::lolbron:

It could go up to 300 but I don't have the space to make that happen

Anyway..Shyt is like love in my living room.. Just watched Jack Reacher on it last night. But shyt I could be watching sesame street on this mofo and it looks fukking awesome !!!

My plan is to only watch movies on it to preserve the bulb but I ain't gonna front I fired up my PS3 on that jawn first day to play some games.. couldn't help it

I don't have any 3D glasses yet but I'm gonna order some in the next week (found a good deal)

Although my projector is plenty Bright enough for the day time.. I'm gonna get some curtains soon like maybe today Lol

had a 3d tv since 2010 or 2011 i forgot when i got my panny but i used it only for the first month and never used it again

its not necessary in my opinion for the enjoyment of a film...video game its a bit more enjoyable i just haven't played videogames for a while and with my schedule i just can't

movies are already in 3d lol what the glasses do is just add this fake layer type situation that doesn't happen in real life

now once i finish my basement and get the panny 3d projector i may change my stance on 3d lol

3d on 58 inches is ok not monumental but on a projector i'd imagine it has to be way more epic especially on a videogame

This shyt makes me feel like I've just been rescued out the Pacific Ocean

I was LOST..and now I've seen the light.. Lol

But if anyone out there is in a similar situation YOU MUST get one

The only draw back I have is a slight rainbow effect.. its not very prevalent but occasionally if I look from one part of the screen to another quickly I'll see the hint of rainbows

It's mos def worth it tho !
